  1. Ian Thomas has potential but he is also strongest attacking the seams and isn't Bridgewater's strength nor is it something the offensive scheme likes to do. In fact TE seems forgotten in our offense but improving the position can be a big help in the red zone. Hunter Long is the highest rated TE at the Senior Bowl but he's working with Miami. Of the ones the Panthers are working with, I've started looking into Tre' McKitty lately and I like him as he has a ton of athleticism and is a decent blocker too. Noah Gray's skillset also looks like a good fit in our offense.
  2. That's the position group I'm looking the closest at as well. Alex Leatherwood, Liam Eichenberg, Dillon Radunz and Adrian Ealy(as a RT) would be ideal to coach at OTs. Creed Humphrey, Landon Dickerson and Drake Jackson for centers. Trey Smith, Deonte Brown, Robert Jones, Alaric Jackson (potential swing tackle as well) for the guards.
  3. Our WR core looks solid. Even depth pieces like Cooper, Zylstra and potentially a healthy Bayless give promise. If you can't bring Samuel back, Toney would fill in that role quite nicely and is the best on this list. Smith does a good job with his releases and could be a slot option. Stevenson is a versatile weapon as well with return experience. Rodgers aligns with the other 3 YAC/speed/quicks WRs above. Clemson WR Powell might draw more interest because of the RZ help he could provide. Same could be said about Palmer, Grimes, Watkins and McMath, who is one to watch closely for late in the draft or after because of his Brady ties.
  4. RB isn't an immediate concern with an elite talent like McCaffery on the roster. With him out, Davis played very well while also getting good reps from Bonnafon, Samuel and Rodney Smith too, but part of building a consistent playoff roster is hitting on depth pieces too. Only McCaffery is currently locked in to return with Davis being a free agent and there being no dead cap associated with the final year on Bonnafon or Smith's contracts. Hill's skill set is of particular interest in this group
  5. Looks like they will be releasing a position group each day and which players will be coached by the Panthers. Started with the QBs today, which couldn't have worked out better for us... Trask has been debated extensively on this board and I'm personally not a fan. I'm most interested in Mond, but he and Newman are intriguing. Most likely talking about a backup with them though because I still think there is only 4 potential starters in this draft. I'll keep adding position groups as I see them. Feel free to add them if you beat me too it. As well as any thoughts on the prospects you've found from your own research.
  6. PFF grades mean nothing, but Adams is on a completely different level compared to any of our WRs.
  7. Always great stuff to hear thanks. Much different tone from last year regarding Hill and more of the same for Bersin. I figure you can't see much for the DE competition but any word on the new punters?
  8. Look for him to be potentially that "4th TE" too. Clearly we are looking strongly at him to be Tolbert's future replacement.
  9. Looking at our Priority Free Agents the last few years: 2014 - Philly Brown ($15,000 signing bonus), Andrew Norwell ($12k) 2015 - Dean Marlowe ($15k), Arthur Miley ($15k) 2016 - Jeremy Cash ($20k) All but one is generally expected to make the roster this year. The only other one, Miley, is someone to keep an eye on as possibly getting that 5th DE spot too.
  10. I'm secretly hoping they pass on Derrick Henry if he's there as t 30. I still think he'd be a great pick, but looking at the running back class for next year I think the class is so much deeper that the value would be much greater (particularly those power/Jstew type backs).
