  1. I think people make posts like this with the notion that they are being "clever" or what have you, but all it really suggests is shame in them for not being familiar with the options that are available to us at the position this offseason. "Zomg growl this is MICHAEL OHER he was the guy in the blindside movie and his mom is sandra bullock, are we really gonna find a bigger name than that?! #toe #lefthanded #shrewdspending #kingsofthesouth #panthersroolsuperbowlsdrool " I have made many posts on this year's OT pool/class. You're more than welcome to check those threads if you please.
  2. I actually believe you spoke to your "slice" again because as usual, it's wrong again (or was your "source" another deluded fantasy in line with your take on our personnel moves, please enlighten me' I'm curious) I like Gettleman a lot, actually. He does a number of things quite well. I however, unlike the rest of the blind masses that ignorantly drone out his praises when he makes poor decisions, am willing to recognize those failures and hope that he makes corrections. When he doesn't, as is my position as a fan, I can call him out in those errors. But please by all means let me know what your insider has to say, does he talk to you in your head too?
  3. Come October this board will look like it does every year. It's not "cool" to say things that go against the homer narrative I know, but let's at least please act like adults with some measure of impartiality. I get that you guys don't like to be confronted with reality, I do, this is your favorite team and you'd rather kid yourself than face the facts. But all I ask is that you please don't come crying once the season starts. This board looks like this every single year. Every year. The offseason rolls around, Tiquan underwood gets signed, and all the "cool guys" respond to anybody who dares question the all impartial homer narrative with hyperbole and insults. Then the season is played, and surprise suprise, Tiquan Underwood can't make the roster or ends up being the reason the team isn't very good. Forgive me i choose to be a little bit better. Delude yourself if you like. Guess what? Dave Gettleman screwed up last year. He thought Byron Bell would be a good LT. He was wrong. Byron bell ended up being one of the worst offensive lineman in the league and was even directly responsible for a game changing play for the worst in the most important game of the year. And now? Now he hasn't learned from his mistakes. Gettlemagic is all I can really say.
  4. When has Gettleman ever smokescreened If the guy thinks Oher is our starting LT than you can settle on Byron er um michael Oher as our starting LT. Out only hope now is that a guy falls onto our lap who isn't supposed to come draft day.
  5. Yes, he's been such a guru when evaluating out offensive tackles over his tenure here. Completely worthy of my blind faith.
  6. I honestly don't think that Gettleman values offensive linemen that much. When you look at his history with the Goants, his perpetual comments about players needing to "gel" rather than acquiring talent, and our annual complacency with just sticking absolutely anybody at the position and saying "Oh yeah, bro. We're good now." I honestly don't think the man just values offensive lineman all that much. Which is a shame, because he's absolutely and hilariously wrong in doing so and it's going to cost this team (and it's QB) success.
  7. Yeah man, you're totally right, Michael Crabtree has never played the X and has never put up big production from there , how could I have not known that. In fact let's just shut this thread down and draft the kid from the U, he runs really fast which is what you need to be successful at the nfl level, especially at the X where the majority of your routes are your 3, 4, 5, and 6 patterns Man how could I have forgotten
  8. Hope we dont draft that QB out of Auburn. Guy is going to go off any second.
  9. i just hope we do something interesting during the night so i dont wake up to extreme disappointment and the same dumb threads.
  10. What I'm saying is that I'm ready and loaded for bare.
  11. oh just wait! its totally gonna catch up to them one day! five years I tell ya! five years and it's totally gonna catch up!
  12. That's not exactly the best endorsement of his abilities but alright. As I said, we're signing a holdover and clearly in the market for another rookie WR, this year or next. I'd rather have somebody I can trust guarding the base while that happens. Moore is an experimental player with upside.
  13. Ravens fans probably hated steve smith until he signed there.
  14. Good post, but it says to me that Denarius Moore is still largely an unknown commodity. My personal desire for a WR in free agency was to acquire a player who we know what we are getting because of the increasingly seeming desire by the FO to add another young rookie at the position in the draft. Crabtree is a proven, quality, very well rounded WR who not only allows us to go OT in the first, but hold down the fort until a 2nd or 3rd rounder hopefully develops. We don't know that we are getting that in Moore.
  15. I have long believed the people that spew the same garbage about others "clamoring" for.Suh or Mike Wallace or whatever every time the suggestion of bringing in quality free agent players was just an intentionally ignorant reactionary response to try and deflect having to formulate a rational response as to why we weren't acquiring talent, but it's posts like this that make me think your "squad" of people doesnt actually understand what makes good players and what good players are and can't see beyond the top names themselves, and that growing belief is further validated by the fact that you think Denver is the only team utilizing free agency as a significant tool in what made them a great team (which is an absolutely ridiculous fallacy)
  16. The same posters that take the "Look at me I'm smart I'm saying the things the tv says" in out approach to free agency will be the exact same posters to put a 4.3 12 catch backup in your face and say he's better than a 4.5 established talent
  17. This sounds more and more like an exceptional addition to our offense with each passing page
  18. Yes but can he run really fast in a straight line and make Huddlers feel really smart for "finding" him? I think not
  19. I'll respond to your question with one of mine own. What assets do you see in moore's game that matchup favorably in comparison to Crabtree. Does he have the same great body control Crabtree does? What about his breaks? Do you feel those outweigh Crabtree's? Please, elaborate on his skillset some. In fact, if you can provide one accurate thing about denarius Moore's game other than "herp derp HE RUN FAST REEL FAST" I promise not to irrevocably place you in the huddle's poo tier poster category with other posters like kspan and carolinarolls
  20. Oh man you're right, let's nab Moore who picked up 12 and couldn't crack the starting lineup.
  21. Why sign a solid commodity in Crabtree when you can have an Al Davis Reclamation Project in Denarius Moore
  22. People have got to drop this "we need speeeeed!!" shtick. We don't need speed. What we need is talent. Something Moore lacks and Crabtree has. Not that it matters either way because this is an Incarcerated Bob tweet so it's likely crap.
