Rumor: Panthers, Titans, and Eagles Contact Michael Crabtree
Growl replied to rscott94's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'll respond to your question with one of mine own. What assets do you see in moore's game that matchup favorably in comparison to Crabtree. Does he have the same great body control Crabtree does? What about his breaks? Do you feel those outweigh Crabtree's? Please, elaborate on his skillset some. In fact, if you can provide one accurate thing about denarius Moore's game other than "herp derp HE RUN FAST REEL FAST" I promise not to irrevocably place you in the huddle's poo tier poster category with other posters like kspan and carolinarolls -

Oh man you're right, let's nab Moore who picked up 12 and couldn't crack the starting lineup. -

Crabtree played 16 games last year and caught 70 balls. -

Why sign a solid commodity in Crabtree when you can have an Al Davis Reclamation Project in Denarius Moore -

People have got to drop this "we need speeeeed!!" shtick. We don't need speed. What we need is talent. Something Moore lacks and Crabtree has. Not that it matters either way because this is an Incarcerated Bob tweet so it's likely crap. -
and the rest of us aren't creepy

The ultimate reality is that it doesnt matter what Voth says given that he and many other Huddlers take this Cool Guy stance every year and it never ends up mattering because come October the entire board is wetting themselves as the players we all knew would suck and hold us back actually do suck if you'd like, you can scroll back and see tweets of Voth saying that we should all just relax about byron bell starting and blah blah blah. What these guys "say" doesnt mean anything in comparison to what actually happens on the field.

Curtlis Lofton going to Oakland. Shame. That guy sucks. Was hoping to see him back in New Orleans.
-
I would rather reach for an OT then count on Michael Oher And Gettleman can clamor all he likes about going "BPA" because it's a cool nfl thing that the cool guys say but he's depended on the draft to fill needs both years he's been here (and is apparently working on the 3rd)
-
Ted Ginn fills a need on special teams Saying Ted Ginn fills a need on offense is silly
-
Bro ted Ginn we're good there
-
Having bodies isn't "filling a need" We aren't, or it should utterly horrify you if we are , simply trying to get 53 guys on the roster. We should be trying to field a team that is better than Seattle, New England. We shouldn't be trying to hold water. We should be trying to be the best. Michael Oher isn't addressing a need. Ted Ginn isn't addressing a need.

I would be content with waiting for the draft to add another receiver prospect if the extent of our offseason busy work wasn't seemingly limited to resigning our own aging players who weren't exactly conference champs last year anyways. We have other areas that need to be addressed and the first two rounds of the draft aren't quite going to be enough to touch up on it all.
-
I stopped reading when you insinuated that each of those teams aren't active offseason players every single year. That's just a blatant lack of football knowledge, I'm sorry to tell you.

Lol this is like saying we shouldn't try to find another pass rusher because "Charles Johnson and Kawann Short had enough sacks last year!!" Olsen isn't the one who needs to be replaced. I'm assuming, or at least hoping, you're smart enough to understand that. That argument falls apart when looked at critically. Nice try though! The insult even made it seem like it was really high brow too!!

Cute cliche', but all it says is that the teams that are ran well identify the proper talent and become annually dominant, the teams whose staff don't have an eye for talent spend money poorly on poor talent, and the teams that do neither wallow in their mediocrity, occasionally having a good year but mostly just finishing 7-9 or 7-8-1 every other year while their fanbase slowly begins to accept the mediocrity while accepting every outdated cliche' on team philosophy it's management churns out because it sounds real good

Lol at people who desperately run to the Packers to try and back this stance.I know that's it's tough to find teams that back the stance of penny pinching greed the team has shown over the year, but let's at leat avoid this argument because it's a strawman that bursts into flames when you look at the leagues best teams Let's do a list of big time teams who are active in free agency every single year New England (reigning Super Bowl champions, 6 Super Bowl appearances with current philosophy) Seattle Seahawks (Two time conference champions, Super Bowl Championship last season) Denver Broncos ( perennially deep post season contenders, Super Bowl appearance last season) San Francisco 49ers (have consistently been one of league's most stacked teams, recent Super Bowl appearance, 3 straight conference championship appearances) Indianapolis Colts (young team, consistently great, consistently make deep postseason runs without fluking in with a losing record) The notion that we're "doing it the way it's meant to be done!" because you can isolate a team that oh so coincidentally has the best quarterback in the game is a laughable argument. Guess what? We're doing it wrong, and until management is willing to finally give up on stop trying to be the 70's Steelers and actually try and be a dominant, desperate, bold contender in today's game, we will stay where we are at.

We were actually more expecting someone who falls into the "Had More Than Three Catches" tier.
