If the high standard of success is playoffs and championship games as a starter, you wouldn't be able to argue that he couldn't find talent in the draft. The only round he missed at finding talent that could start in the league was the 4th round. 13 1st. 6 2nd. 8 3rd. 4 5th. 4 6th. 3 7th. Hurney was GM of 14 drafts for the Panthers. He also had involvement as part of a GM by committee under Seifert that included Mike Rucker, Deon Grant, Dan Morgan, Kris Jenkins and Steve Smith, which are not reflected in the top numbers. Making a claim without defining a standard to debate leads to this myth.
