It was the FG they decided to take that lost them the momentum to the Bucs. They went up by 3 and lost control. They are now up by 3 again and Bucs still have the advantage with options while Washington loses momentum late in the game. If they take 3-0 lead, Bucs are likely near 30 points with more scoring opportunity in 1st half. If the lead were 19-17 (likely 19-24), they'd be in a much worse position.

Targeting Cam's head, throwing shoulder, or below the knees were the only way to stop him going into his prime. I don't think the NFL wanted a running QB dominating the league with Brady, the Mannings, Rodgers and Brees still in the league.

Scoring points is not stable. Scoring is fluid as it changes strategy. Teams that lead by 3 or less become more conservative leading to a loss of momentum and opportunities from wasted drives. A team has an advantage with 4+ minutes left in the game to trail by 3 rather than lead by 3. The trailing team will carry momentum, have the opportunity to reset the game with a FG or lead by 4. Washington now has the momentum advantage and sets themselves up to go into the half with a 3 score lead.

I've never liked the odds of leading by 3 points or less until you're in the final 4 minutes of the game.

A baller we could have had if the Panthers were patient and disciplined enough to build a winning team through the draft. Panthers have passed on Lamar Jackson, Jayden Daniels, CJ Stroud, Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Jordan Love, Jalen Hurts, and Bo Nix. That's how bad the front office has been under Tepper.

Seems we could put a 53 man roster of ex-Panthers together from the 2023 and 2024 playoff rosters to field a better team than what the Panthers will have in 2025.

Can you still remember how Panthers playoff football felt? I remember how it felt with the hope the Panthers could make it to 2 or 3 SBs a decade. Now, as I watch the playoffs year after year knowing the state of the Panthers, I feel the hope of going to the playoffs just one time this decade slipping away.
