  1. He won't make it through preseason before realizing this is not where he wants to be, for a variety of on and off field reasons, and we are trading him elsewhere for less than we spent to get him.
  2. Why? If someone is willing to pay it, someone should take it. I'd be interested in seeing what the sliding scale looks like for recruits at different star levels. If $20K a month is the rate for a top 25-50 recruit, that doesn't seem unreasonable to me - especially at the QB, RB and WR positions. I'd also like to think these schools are smart enough that they are putting some sort of recuperation clause in a contract that says we'll pay you to stay a recruit, but if you flip or decommit, the money has to be paid back. Otherwise, I'd be telling my son to commit to anyone with a check book his sophomore year, let's get paid while we look / wait for better options.
  3. Wasn't sure where to put this; can't start a new thread. Anyone paying attention to the CWS? Tarheels cruise in first two games, set up regional championship with fully rested bullpen and tons of momentum. On the road to Omaha!
  4. XL is becoming Mr Irrelevant on steroids. Can't hate on a man enjoying life / experiences, but this would be so much cooler if he was better at football.
  5. Happy with the win, but this team is in DESPERATE need of a skilled forward who can not just get a shot on net, but on a part of the net the goalie isn't easily covering. I'm amazed at the lack of creativity, good passing when guys are entering scoring zones, and finishing loose pucks near the net that this team operates with. It's maddening. It's too bad Rantanen didn't want to be here, would've been a huge difference maker. All that said, you can't win 4 in a row without winning 2 in a row. So cheers to a potential Game 5 win, extending the series and goodbye to these sober thoughts.
  6. In the hospital waiting on neck surgery. My eyes burn way more from watching our level of play than the nerves in my arms do from my injury.
  7. Would be interested in hearing your (or anyone else's) take on the match ups vs each potential opponent. I'm out of market, I watch the Canes when they are on national TV, but I couldn't tell you anything about any other team in the league other than what Sportscenter shows.
  8. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. "Send Luka to Los Angeles and we will give you Flagg". HOLY HELL.
  9. Charles Lee is representing Charlotte. That seals us picking 8th.
  10. Last time I checked the electric company doesn't take Hurricane wins as currency.
  11. I agree, but +196 is way too much value not to play the Caps in this spot.
  12. Win 10 games every year, sprinkle in a CFP birth here and there, and develop recruits. I'd much rather have this drama than another season of watching Mack Brown pretend he's never seen a football, a clock, or a playbook bigger than 4 pages.
  13. Not scrambling but can tell you and I are in different spaces, so can see where you're confused. From the social post ... "Target market: Business leaders looking for high end client hospitality". Notice how that is before "and rich die hard Panthers fans". You're thinking this is 12-15 Panthers fans ALL dropping $10k each. When it's actually one person/company dropping $150k to host the event. You're telling me if your boss or business counterpart came to you and said he was chartering a private jet, 5 star hotel, food, and celebrities to go watch (insert any team/city here), and it was all free, that you wouldn't go? I'm in entertainment and studio partnerships, we and our competition do this all the time. Last year a major Houston based retailer took my team to a Houston Texans game in their suite, full trip covered. None of us were Texans fans, or even lived in the Houston area. And it was awesome. Again, experiences.
  14. Haha. I didn't realize Charlotte had cornered the market on limos and G6's. My apologies.
  15. Not all Panther fans live in Charlotte. Love my home city, but if my choices are spending money to come back, eat Bojangles and experience a lackluster fan environment, or go to away games in New York, New Orleans, Green Bay (Lambeau), or Europe every couple of years where I can have a unique experience(s) which would you choose?
  16. The demographic this is targeting doesn't go to the games at BOA. And if they do, they aren't sitting in seats where you would see them.
  17. Who gets food then goes to the bathroom with it. Washington journalists a bunch of psychopaths.
  18. I'm fluent in sarcasm, your post didn't read that way in the slightest. We can move on now.
  19. Proof our fanbase is as inept as our team is.
  20. We got swept by the Wizards this year.
  21. The most Hornets thing ever to have the guy who accepted your head coaching job, only to rescind it 20 hours later, go on to win NBA Coach of the Year two seasons later.
