Darnold Fractured Scapula on throwing shoulder

The scapegoat has arrived -
We won’t beat ARZ unless we bring back Cam and beg forgiveness

Sam Darnold will be Jimmy Clausen 2.0
OneBadCat replied to PanthersGOATFan336's topic in Carolina Panthers
Honestly Clausen was still worse than Sam. JC was a pussy that simply refused to throw down field. At least Sam will try to push the ball down field. -
Teddy B I’m sorry, it wasn’t all your fault!

What are you talking about ? Teddy Bridgewater was complete trash too. -
The biggest flaw of this team is QB. It is blatantly obvious. David Tepper is to blame. He came into into this franchise acting like he knew better and cut Cam. Judging him off his running ability and injury history. Cam Newton will never get the credit he deserved as a passer and we are suffering the repercussions of perception and arrogance Thus we signed a phantom stat padding scrub of a QB in Teddy Bridgewater. And now we have a tried hard do gooder in Sam with all the talent and nothing between the ears. This is a winning roster being held back by its QB. And if Tepper is wasn’t an arrogant ass and gave Cam a chance with Rhule then we would be playoff bound the last two seasons. Y’all can poo or pie my post all you want. But it doesn’t change the fact that I’m right and that this team lacks swag and confidence. A Cam at 70% of his prime is still better than the poo show we’ve trout out on the field the last two years. We have stud weapons playing below their ability because they don’t believe in their QB. I’m not a Sam hater . I wanted him to succeed and have his comeback story but it couldn’t be more clear that he can’t play now. We have an all pro defense being squandered by continuous 3 and outs. The only way Sam Darnold can succeed is if we are constantly running 100% on all cylinders as a team and that’s just not realistic in the NFL. He’s a 4th year starter. He can’t be constantly coddled. In today’s NFL it’s not unreasonable to ask your starting QB to carry the team and rise to the occasion and Sam simply can’t do it. Bottom line. Rhule and staff need to show they give a poo about winning and swallow their pride. Start PJ and prepare to draft a QB or admit your failure and bring back Cam or trade for Derek Carr or Rodgers in the off season. But whatever is going on right now simply can’t continue.

It’s an awkward situation. Sam can’t play and he knows it. Seems like a nice person but that doesn’t cut it. Robby wants to win.

If they champion Darnold so much then they need to let the dude play and sling the ball. You’re gonna live or die by it eventually. Stop the coddling.

If this is how we’re gonna play Darnold why the fug don’t we just bring back Cam?

We lose

We’re trash

That penalty was BS

Wow and there’s no flag for that ?

They’re gonna have to let Darnold throw the ball. No other way we could win

That’s the first I’ve heard of Smitty trash talking Delhomme on the sidelines. I remember when Jake imploded in the ARZ game and Smitty was being nice to him saying something along the lines of “you can throw 1000 INTs, you’re still my guy”. Delhomme was an average QB that lost his edge when he got Tommy John. He couldn’t make the tight window throws he used to force. But I imagine Smitty has a great deal of respect for him because Jake put a lot of faith in Steve to make the miracle plays that he did. I have no doubt that Smith is likely an asshole in real life. I actually would dread meeting him because if I told him I grew up watching and adoring him he’d call me a grown ass man and tell me to ice up son. Smith is one of those dudes where his insanity is what drove him to be the player he was. It’s not an excuse for his behavior. It’s just literally how he was. And the culture of the NFL at the time allowed him to continue his career. If he beat Ken Lucas or the other unfortunate fellow he blinded in todays game I think he would be penalized much more heavily. I can’t speculate to what kind of man he is today. He was allowed to get away with some bad things. And he was cruel at times. But I do try to separate that from the player he was on field with the ball was in his hands or on its way to him. He was simply a force of nature that has yet to be replicated. He is pound for pound a top 5 WR all time. That said I’m sure he’s a temperamental dick in real life and decides moment to moment when he’s going to be friendly or not.

Talk to me about the Patriots, what do you know?
OneBadCat replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Do we know for sure that Darnold is out this week?
