I agree this draft class doesn’t excite me much either If we’re picking in that 14-18 range based on what’s most likely available CB, ILB, TE or even WR make most sense I don’t think Morgan has the time to wait on another edge to develop. I think he goes and grabs a proven one to make an immediate impact They’re really not. Size meaning durability. No one ever thought this dude would be trucking people or breaking tackles in the pocket. People thought he’d get broken in half after taking his first sack/hit He’s one of the better QB’s at avoiding sacks this year

Such a dumb pick and most of us knew it Ladd would’ve been the perfect match with Bryce But instead they draft XL to fill the void at the X spot because we had a 34 year old Adam Thielen. Then a year later we draft a real X WR and move XL inside where he has absolutely no business being for a list of reasons

I’m not overly defending the pick. I was team Stroud by a country mile but I also knew what to expect as far as ceiling goes with Bryce I had concerns with Bryce’s arm strength and size. Neither seem to overly be an issue. He’s proven to throw with enough anticipation that he makes up for a lack of velocity. I was worried about the way he played in college not translating to the league. Spending 8 seconds behind LOS. I did also think it would take Young a few years for him to reach his full potential. I also think he’s too smart and accurate to flat out bust which all of seems to be pretty accurate Bryce is someone you can absolutely win with. No one thought he’d be the type to carry a well below average supporting cast to a Super Bowl. He’s fully capable of giving you those 4-5 special plays a game that help your team win. And then you have those rare times where he’s the reason you win like in Atlanta. All good teams have more than just a QB. Even the teams that are winning this year all have a lot more than what we have. Supporting cast/defense… more than what we have As far as Morgan goes I 100% agree. Fwiw he was legit team Bryce during the draft process. I know that for a fact. Last years draft is a complete write off. This past draft still up for debate. TMac and Scourton look solid. I can’t remember the last time I saw Princely win a rep and I’m being honest. Ransom has a little value. I think ETN is a nice insurance add. Evans could be a TE2. I think this offseason Morgan will get aggressive with trying to land a pass rusher. Whether that’s a trade for Crosby, signing Hendrickson, it’s going to be top priority. We need a ILB. I really like Kaden Ellis. Sonny Styles should be in our draft range. We also need a tight end and it would be interesting to see this offseason with Kenyon Sadiq

Well on his way out of league Chark - no longer in league Hurst - no longer in league Marshall - hasn’t done a thing Sullivan/Strachan - pretty much same dude. Both not playing Thielen - hasn’t done a damn thing since he left Carolina Miles Sanders - nothing 2024: Legette - rookie WR who still has no idea what he’s doing Mingo - see above Coker - when he did play/healthy he was solid Thielen - see above Sanders - bust Diontae Johnson - headache. Out of league. Failed on 12 teams in 2024 There’s more names but again all irrelevant and doing nothing in the league. This is the crap and turnover Bryce has dealt with the first two seasons. Given the type of QB Bryce is he stood no chance with these guys. We’re finally seeing improvement because there’s some consistency at least now. It took awhile but as Bryce progresses he’s essentially becoming exactly what they expected when they drafted him Bryce was never supposed to be Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen or Joe Burrow. Bryce Young was pegged as a point guard type QB that can give you a handful of special plays/throws a game. The ones that are crying about the trade still are the ones that never understood what exactly Bryce is/was. You can disagree with trading up for a QB like Bryce but you can’t hate Bryce for that. Bryce bailed out the coaching staff and OL enough times on Sunday. He did his part. He extended multiple plays and some big time anticipation throws. There’s at least 4-5 really good plays from Sundays game where Bryce was damn good. Canales is the one who says we just need a few special plays from our QB per game The FO and even Tepper knew what they were drafting when they took Bryce. Hell, Tepper called him a point guard himself the night of draft. It’s on the FO to surround him/a QB like him with the proper pieces to be successful. Which they have not.

Yeah Coker is solid. Doesn’t get much separation in man though but he’s someone who understands route running and understands where he needs to be which is why he’ll have success with Bryce. Same with Bryce with Coker XL doesn’t understand any of that. He’s strictly been used for speed at this point. Horn doesn’t understand much either but if he does he’ll eventually take XL’s snaps from him. XL is slowly working his way out of the rotation

And that’s the problem with Evero’s defense He wants his LB’ers at the LOS all the time showing blitz that they can’t drop back fast enough. Kellen Moore picked that apart and honestly laid out a great blueprint for other teams Also while we’re swapping things can we swap TMac for Olave. Give Bryce someone like Olave and it would do wonders for this offense
