  3. Put Bryce on the Chargers with the 6th best defense based on EPA/play yeah that team would do just fine. Ladd is built for Bryce. Herbert had 28 total TDs to 13 INT’s this year. Bryce had 25 total TD’s to 11 INT’s. Both had 7 fumbles. During second half of season Bryce had a better EPA + CPOE comp and a better EPA/play than Herbert The way people drag Bryce around here but throw Herbert into that elite category is laughable
  4. 6 years 0 playoff wins. Has had good defenses. This year Chargers D is 6th in EPA/play
  5. 17 pressures on 41 dropbacks 41% Bryce Young was pressured on 42% of his drop backs last night
  6. 11/20 93 yards and 2 fumbles. The OL has been fine tonight. only 14 pressures so far tonight Lucky for Justin he has a damn good defense and despite doing absolutely nothing for 3.5 quarters he still has a chance here
  7. Pitts is for sure going to get tagged by Atlanta
  8. Coker, Yosh (priority 1), Treymane, Brady, Curhan, Mays, Cherelus, Incoom, Simmons Moton just signed an extension. He isn’t going anywhere
  9. CSW is awful. Sanders adds no value. Wallace at least started to show some signs of progress. Losing Thornton hurt this defense big time. Thornton and Coker both UDFA’s are the only two worth a damn. And this damn team cut Coker. They got real lucky
  10. He’s an ERFA Our real priority signing is Yosh now. Icky’s knee is toast and doubt he’ll be ready for the start of next season. It would be stupid to sign him to a long term deal now
  11. You realize it only impacts 3 games right? If Philly loses today they might look real different come next season. The divisions were playing the same place finisher as are all tough divisions anyways. Really doesn’t make a huge difference
  12. It’s my issue with Canales. It’s to the point I rather be trailing in a game until the very end. When we start attacking downfield and Bryce gets into a rhythm he’s damn good. It’s when Canales is hellbent on setting up 3rd and medium-long with the run game is when this offense stalls out. This offense seems to live in 3rd down when Canales wants to kill momentum and run the ball Rico is gone. Him and Chuba are mostly the same back at this point. neither back is able to run that angle route Kyren scored on yesterday. Easy ass completion for a touchdown for Stafford. What really hurts this offense is our inability to draw up easy completions for 10 yards or so but we don’t have the playmakers for that. Watch Chicago play and I’m so jealous of the talent they have. Their TE might be their best WR in a room that has Odunze Burden and Moore. The entire defense bit on a screen to Bruden leaving Moore wide ass open. We don’t have a player that will threaten the defense on a simple screen. That 2nd down inside screen to Coker was dead from the start yesterday. Terrible play at a terrible time
  13. Canales once again proved the score dictates the way he calls plays 17-14 and Canales starts being stubborn with the run game when it’s beyond obvious we have no run game. This offense is at its best when Canales is aggressive and Bryce is throwing downfield. Which Canales only is when we’re trailing by 7+ Settled for a FG that drive when we should’ve been going for 7
  14. Yep this place is cooked. Same 4-5 morons every time
  15. The moment wasn’t too big for Bryce Bryce looked the part today. The guys around him outside of Coker and Tmac… not so much If Brooks can stay healthy he’s exactly what this offense needs and then we need a speed/YAC guy
  16. I’m curious has the NFL ever allowed their eventual MVP for that season lose their first playoff game that year? I’m going to go look and see but figured I’d ask first
  17. Huh? If Young continues to progress and the Panthers are progressing you’re most likely going to sign Young anyways. If it’s still a bit unclear that’s where it gets tricky but in Young’s case given his first 2 years he might have to be one of the rare cases of playing on his 5th yr option If it’s clear he’s the weak link here then all you’re stuck with is his 5th year option. I’m sure some team would take a swing on Young. Even with the option price tag but if not then you’re stuck with 26 mill for one year. Big whoop Not sure why you keep stressing about this. Ultimately it would be silly not to pick up the option
  18. I mean he wouldn’t have much choice and Bryce holding out given all the uncertainty the first 3 years wouldn’t exactly be a smart move on his part Hypothetically speaking if Bryce continues to progress in year 4 and the Panthers keep progressing and make the playoffs again then yeah, it gets a bit tricky as far as contract into 2027 goes. I guess that all depends on what exactly that year 4 progression looks like Pick up the option and worry about that at the end of next season when you have another full season to evaluate
  19. The 5th year option is a no brainer Bryce is only 24 years old. A lot of QB’s start coming into their own around the 25-27 age range assuming the situation around them isn’t a complete dumpster fire. Some of this falls on Canales to understand the strengths and weaknesses with Young’s game and call plays accordingly
  20. Meh Reich’s time had passed. It’s not like people in the NFL were lining up to hire him after we let him go. Firing Frank was justified it’s unfortunate it came after a string of other firings and a mess dating back to when Tepper bought the team Yeah it’ll be interesting to see what we do next year. We have a lot of holes. Not a lot of cap. We’re in dire need of a top tier edge rusher. An ILB. A deep threat WR or at minimum receiving TE (Likely) We have real needs at positions that aren’t cheap
  21. This was a good watch I do wonder how much BY’s ankle is impacting some of his footwork right now. Obviously he’s had footwork issues since the beginning of time but it is what it is. That’s how he plays and they knew that when they drafted him Calling double out and up from your freaking endzone with a wet field and shotty pass protection is insane. Crazy thing is that it was kind of there Last one I have a bit of an issue with was the 3rd and 16 play where Bryce checks it down to Chuba. This is where we’re missing Brooks or a back that can make someone miss. However the out to TMac is there. But that’s not BY’s game. He just threw a INT in the previous quarter on an out, why on earth would you call that play? I think Canales can be good but I also don’t think he really takes into account BY’s strengths and weaknesses when calling plays. You don’t ask BY to rip an out at the sticks on 3rd and 16… you just dont
  22. Yeah as much as I have my doubts about Canales, firing a coach after making playoffs with where this team was at 2 years ago would be the last nail in Tepper’s coffin as far as finding people willing to take a job here Regardless of how we got here and our record in one win games and how quickly this can easily revert back to a 5 win team, big picture wise there’s no way you can fire Canales now
