So what do you do?? No Teddy no Sam?? I'd rather had Teddy all our assets and a rookie QB waiting then the BS we got now... We're back to square 1 again.. Praying Cam can carry bad coaching..

Look at the Hornets.. They let there star player go (Kemba) got surprise false success from Devante Graham.. Didn't sign him to a cap killing deal or go crazy in FA other then (Hayward).. Didn't let Devante success stop them from drafting there future star (Lamelo) and now in great position still in a rebuild still having assets and still competing for playoffs.. Patience and MJ leaving ppl alone to do their jobs is the reason..

They got greedy and wasn't really into going thru the process.. Tepper said when he fired Rivera.. I blame Tepper for not living his words and showing patience..

The problem with this thinking is Cam wanted to be paid and at that point wasn't willing to be a bridge QB.. So that was a bad situation to be in from the get go..

Plain and simple.. If your going to rebuild stick to it.. Don't let small success fool you from your original assertion of a situation.. You sign Teddy to a 3 year deal.. He plays you into position for a QB.. Don't let close losses the season before stop you from drafting the future and keeping Teddy as the bridge Qb.. We were in position to succeed in a 3 year rebuild with a strong team young QB sitting and learning and all our assets to improve weak position (Oline, MLB, Safety).. For some reason they thought they were 1 player away and it's going to cost us year of bad mediocre football..

Just 1 big who can limit another bigs scoring and rebounding is all we need.. Please Mitch find that guy..

That's my point.. He's good enough to keep you out of getting a top pick but not good enough to be a franchise QB you build around.. Ofcourse he will get hurt at some point so hopefully he doesn't screw the team before then..

I can.. The Oline was bad but dude can't read defenses... It was clear as day.. Plus he was dam near throwing kill shot balls every game..Darnold is bad very bad and made the whole offense look worse..

I agree but Maybe Fields is young enough to outlast the coaching and Hopefully you use Minshew the 1st year until you can get rid of the coaching staff.. That would have been the benefit.. Plus maybe no fake enthusiasm in the Darnold experiment so they don't go thru the win now poo and give up more assets..

The only thing that would be different if we went Minshew is the assets we would still have and Hopefully the expectation of this team lowered and more reasonable.. Knowing we were going QB instead of acting like Darnold was the future... Maybe even Drafting Feilds in the draft.. Which would have been the best decision..

If this is the case.. I hope he doesn't do a bunch of BS with the assets in the offseason we have to save his job..

I'd rather be stuck with the mess now.. Be horrible next year.. Fire Rhule and come in with Chase and a new coaching staff in 2023..

And Hopefully be horrible enough to get the Bama QB 23.. When he gets hurt in game 4.. I would be down for that if we can get rid of Sam.. But with our luck he will actually get more then 5 wins and we will be stuck again on the Delhome roller coaster..

Who had better weapons Darnold in NY or Minshew in Jacksonville..

You are truly going by a 1 year sample.. You know that right.. He didn't make it thru the 2nd season..

He will always be injured or always need things to be great around him to barely put up those numbers is the point.. Maybe 1 or twice in 5 years will he make a full season.. He college years was just like this at Washington state... He isn't physically good nor does he have arm talent..

We should have stuck with Cam and if he got hurt still be in close to a top 5 pick..

I got 100 dollars that say Minshew will never be a fulltime starter of a winning team because.. He is nothing but a intangibles guy with no physical talent and pretty much a career backup good for 4 or 5 games until teams figure him out again and again and again..

I understand the thought process other then giving him the 5th year option... But reality is he can't read defenses and is broken mentally..

And that's how bad the situation is.. Fitzpatrick is better then any QB on the roster.. That still doesn't make him a good QB to go into the season with..

I don't care about garbage time or not garbage time numbers.. I don't want a QB barley putting up 20 tds a season in the 1st place.. 16 tds and 5 ints is a crappy season to me.. Cam 1st 4 years avg. 30 tds a season.. That's what I fuging want.. I've grown up I'm tired of watching Jake Delhome type QBS who need everything around them to be perfect to have success.. I'd rather swing for top talented athletes or wait to draft it then to stay in mediocre for years with a career Backup squeezing out wins and keeping us irrelevant..

I really fuging hate analytics.. It constantly makes sub par player look good to ppl.. Instead of watching the games and seeing the guy wasn't that good and talent is mostly lucky poo! What was the offensive ranked the years he was QB?? Were they a pass happy team or a running team that didn't trust the QB to do alot?? Compensation is the only reason your yelling Minshew.. But reality is if Minshew was brought here he wouldn't look any better and it would have been a clear sign to the fan base we are tanking..

Difference.. No matter what you think Darnold has physical talent that any coach worth his pedigree thinks he can work with... Big Arm, Athletic, and Good size.. Minshew ..short, Below avg arm, not a great athlete.. So you swing for the talent that you hope can develop into the top 5 pick all scouts thought he was... It didn't work.. But that is the way things usually happen for highly drafted players.. Minshew is just a fever dream where some of you are always trying to find a diamond in the ruff.. But it ends up to be the same coal that got a bunch of stats in garbage time..
