There's really no sample to base it off of though. How many franchise-caliber QBs went from being dogshit on 1 team to franchise-caliber on a new team? Reclamation projects at QB just never work out like Darnold has so far and hopefully continues to. Tannehill may be the closest thing but even he did have some success in Miami.

We didn't really do that under Rivera though. We put most of our focus on the defense with him. And it worked for a little while and a few seasons. Only season that we actually relied on Cam to carry the team was 2015. 2013 was the D, 2017 was an overall team effort.

When in the Rivera era did we ever trade a lot of assets for 1 player?

Chargers pretty easily held Dallas to 20 points. Bucs D is absolutely terrible and the Eagles just melted down against them last week. I'd be shocked too if we even allowed 30. Us allowing 40 is even more outrageous than Zeke getting 100 yards and 3 TDs.

What is wrong with you guys? John Miller has been our best interior OL... Because he may not be vaccinated you're hoping that he's out due to injury? Or are you that obsessed with having a 6th round rookie play? Brown looks like he could be promising but he's extremely unlikely to be Andrew Norwell part 2. More likely that he sucks worse than any of our starting OL and the other backups ahead of him on the depth chart.

Nate Burleson is typically pretty solid and usually likes the Panthers (they all do on GMFB), but yeah this is a pretty ridiculous take.

Chinn has still been involved in a lot of blitz looks, just hasn't been showing up in the stat sheet so far. I'm not too worried about his usage. He's been playing great in the role he's asked to play and the D as a whole is playing lights out from top to bottom.

Interesting but sample sizes are small and Eagles were allowing like 13 points per game before Dallas put up 35 on them. I think our D will do well against them but it'll be more like 17-23 points allowed than 10.

Huge fan of Rhule and have been since day 1, but hard for anyone to be fully sold on him until we see results. This 3 game stretch has been awesome and very promising going forward but he needs to keep it rolling over the course of a season and into the playoffs. I fully expect him to do so and I love how he coaches and how Snow and even Joe Brady have done for the most part.

I say it's too early to say -- possibly but probably not. Our pass rush in 2013 carried the defense to a top 2 and frankly historic season. That secondary was a bunch of nobodies who didn't have to cover very long since our pass rush was getting home so fast. Secondary was a weakness masked by the elite pass rush that year. This year's sack numbers and pass rush have definitely been benefited by our secondary actually being a strength so far this year. With Horn out they'll have a real test ahead of them, even with the CJ addition. We've gotten a fair amount of coverage sacks this year, which are awesome but partly due to the secondary rather than our elite pass rush. But even still our pass rush is the strength of the D. Just not sure yet if it's on 2013's level or surpasses it

He was on the official injury report with a groin/illness... we figured that was just due to him being involved in trade talks and him practicing right off the bat here confirms that, but he was reported as out for week 3 with a groin injury.
