  1. Hoping he can teach Norman, Bene, Tre and any other young guys we draft/sign how to do that. The Seahawks' secondary as a unit is spectacular at stripping the ball. Go back to D-Will's game-losing fumble in 2013, first guy came in and whacked it and it wiggled loose a little bit but he held on, then instantly another guy is there and smacks it out. Would add another great aspect to our secondary if we can get our d-backs to play like that.
  2. Yes. How do you think Igo gets his insider info? He pays my ass off, that's how.
  3. And D-Will's not off the books yet. CJ could take a pay cut. We cut Cotch if we sign Jennings, in my opinion. I don't think it rules out Jennings, or even changes the chances of it at all. Gettleman will pay/offer him a fair price, regardless of what happens with other free agents at other positions.
  4. 2 fluke injuries, and it's a no risk high reward signing. He wasn't young when he was an all-pro in 2012, and he's barely had any more wear and tear since then.
  5. He was a first team all pro in 2012, when he wasn't coached by Rivera and when he wasn't very young. Health is the biggest thing right now. I don't see how anyone could question this signing.
  6. Happen to not like him either, lol. There's really not much that pisses me off more than guys who have outrageous potential that don't ever realize it. Investing a 1st in a guy like that would kill me. But, like I said, I trust DG and Ricky so if they sign off on it, I'm all for it.
  7. I didn't see the comparison to Jones, but from what I've seen, his route running is really bad. He gets separation because of his speed, not by beating the other guy. That won't always cut it in the NFL, and it's his poor route running that reminds me of Patterson. He may not be as raw as Patterson, but there are similarities that I've noticed. Didn't know he didn't drop any in his last 4 or pro day, so that's an improvement, but he was still wildly inconsistent before that. And KB came in with drop issues throughout college, had literally almost no drops all throughout camp and then came in to nearly lead the league in drops this year. It just worries me. I think we need a 100% sure handed WR, not another guy who'll be wide open for a big TD and drops the pass. I'll look into him more but I just still don't see it in the 1st. And I think Jeremy said the Panthers don't have a 1st round grade on him. I love Hardy and would be fine with him in the 2nd, but I do think his size and speed will limit his upside to the point that taking him in the 2nd would be a reach. I could honestly see him falling all the way to our 4th, but would want us to use our 3rd to make sure we could get him. I feel we may be higher on him than other teams.
  8. I love Agholor and Hardy, but I wouldn't touch Perriman until the 3rd. Reminds me of Cordarrelle Patterson. He's not a great route runner and doesn't have great hands, just size and speed. All the potential in the world, but I just don't want a guy like that in the 1st. I don't think Agholor makes it to our 2nd rounder. I'd be fine with him in the 1st though, even over Strong. I would want DGB in the 1st but obviously we aren't targeting him. Hardy in the 3rd please sign me up. I'd be fine with Strong in the 1st, but the flaw pointed out in that article hold very true, and that concerns me a bit. If Ricky and DG want him though then I'll be happy.
  9. That basic concept (not the pages, but beginning on topic and drifting away) applies to all discussions and/or debates ever in life.
  10. AFC East is up there in sh*tty divisions.
  11. We don't "need" another corner. It would help but it's not needed with Bene and Norman in place. Harper started carrying his weight towards the end of last season when the young guys started stepping up, so SS isn't our biggest need, but yes we should definitely upgrade at SS, or move Tre to SS and get a FS. The guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
  12. Most of that was on Boston, in my opinion. Seattle did an amazing job in both games against us of exploiting Boston's weaknesses. He definitely needs some work but I feel pretty confident he can improve and eliminate those mistakes with a full offseason of work. Definitely need to improve SS, in my opinion, but I Tre can be a longterm answer and Norman and Bene are 100%. Just need to lock up Norman longterm, as soon as possible.
  13. I guess Norman, Bene and Tre aren't "a safety and some cornerbacks." What a fool. Entire article should be disregarded based on that alone.
  14. I feel like people forget Tillman was a 1st team all pro in just 2012. He may be up there in age, but the past 2 years he's barely had any wear and tear on him because he was hurt. And it wasn't a lower body injury, just a triceps (which isn't too important for a d-back), so I think in our system under Rivera again and behind our front 7 and with Norman taking the top wideout, he would have an enormous amount of success. That's why I want him on a 2-3 year deal instead of 1, because I feel like he still has a lot left in the tank. This would be a huge signing in my opinion, and I'm still holding out hope we get Jennings. If we can get Peanut and Jennings, this would be an amazing free agency period, in my opinion.
  15. Nobody here's "loving" Ron. We're just not blindly criticizing him for things that we aren't qualified to judge. And it's particularly ridiculous when you show you clearly don't know what you're talking about and don't have any facts or logic backing up your argument.
  16. Bene was inserted right when he got healthy. As for Boston you have absolutely no qualifications to judge that and you did not see him play in practice. You saw him come in when he came in, which is when Rivera and the coaching staff thought was the right time, and he played well. If he went in too early he could've looked like sh*t and his confidence would've been down the drain. I'm done preaching to a moron like you who just doesn't get it. Enjoy bashing Rivera.
  17. Bene started at nickel and played there until he got the high ankle sprain (I think against the Bears). His first game back and for the rest of the season, he started on the outside, so you're wrong. Boston wasn't active for the first 5 games and he missed the entire offseason program and had a sh*tload of catching up to do. He was not ready to start until he did end up starting. How's honesty working out for you?
  18. Still better than me. And while he was indeed bad, Rivera isn't to blame for him getting playing time. White was equally as bad and we had nobody else.
  19. Maybe Igo is wrong? Wait, no, that couldn't be... He's a football god.
  20. Both Boston and Bene were hurt and rookies who had a lot to learn so there is no way you can possibly judge whether they were ready to play and that Rivera was sitting players that are way better than the starters.
  21. Great article, thanks for posting. Only thing that worries me is this: I don't want us signing him to a 1 year deal, only for him to play lights out like he did in 2012 and then walk like our 2013 signings did. Give him at least a 2 or 3 year deal with incentives and roster bonuses and I'll be happy.
  22. Interesting thought. If McD ends up a head coach and Wilks becomes DC maybe Tillman to DBs coach?
