I didn’t realize my Sunday ticket auto renewed, was like $250 (which felt like a ripoff) last year now $470… Before realizing that I figured I wouldn’t get it and would watch the early games at bars and if the team sucks again then stop watching. Well now since I’ve been suckered out of all that money might as well watch all the damn games lol. I know I know sunk cost and all and if the team sucks I know I shouldn’t spend my time too, but I inevitably will

fug the aints

Not surprised. I’d say he finishes around 400 yards this year. Potential breakout candidate next year.

That should’ve been blown dead

And on queue

Really the perfect DC at this point for any team but especially the Chiefs. No team will realistically give him another shot at HC so he won’t get poached and he can just completely handle the D on his own so Reid can focus on the O. Plus his aggressive style is exactly what is needed to beat the top teams/QBs in the playoffs and ultimately win it all

HOW BOUT THAT D BABY!!! Spags is such a great DC too
-
To all the ref whiners, that was obviously offsides lol

Hot take: Mahomes wins his 3rd MVP this year. Worthy will only get better and they still have Hollywood coming at some point
-
Plays like that are why I like the Chiefs. Andy Reid is a damn genius and gets the most out of his players. Offensive creativity the likes of which we’ve never seen in Carolina. Reid GOAT HC

That DPI was a bullshit call if you ask me

I like Reid and Mahomes and the way they’ve built their team with great drafting lately, that young D is legit and super fun to watch. I’ve casually pulled for the Chiefs/Reid to win the AFC since well before Mahomes got there and they started winning everything, why would I change now when I like Mahomes too? Plus I do just appreciate scandal-free greatness. There’s really nothing at all to dislike about them other than the fact they win. The patriots were cheaters and extremely unlikeable overall, not an apples to apples situation here

Barring some bonkers unprecedented Cinderella run from us, I’m pulling for a Chiefs 3peat. Would be nice for them to kick it off with a big win tonight

I think we will be a top 20 team.

Aside from McCaffrey Hurney’s picks are the best…

Sure team success factors in to legacy, Shaq would benefit greatly from the team getting good while he’s still here. But I’d say it’s pretty damn hard to hold team success against 1 player lol. It really is a small factor.
-
No matter how good a player is anyone who plays 10+ years for a single team, as Shaq is approaching, has a legacy for that team. Especially if he's a leader, like Shaq is.
-
Yeah exactly. Drafts don't typically have 2 rounds of long term starters, I didn't even go back and look at that draft but knowing Shaq is still a starter in this league nearly a decade later alone made it completely absurd to suggest he'd be late 3rd in a re-draft (so would need more like 85 players better than him not 64...). Shaq didn't turn out to be quite what we expected nor did he continue our streak of having incredibly elite LBs here in Carolina, but he was not a bad pick at all for a late 1st. In a redraft, without going through every player in that draft, I'd imagine he'd be at worst early/mid 2nd. Hell he may even still be late 1st, where he was taken.

lol dude you are absolutely high if you believe this.

I need to see Bryce up to 7.5 at least this year. 8.8 is a tall ask but hopefully he's high 7s or close to 8. But absolutely 7.5 at minimum is what I want. Of course if he throws 40 TDs to 8 INT but 7.4 YPA I won't complain but 7.5 is a good baseline in today's pass happy NFL. Yes some exceptions, Mahomes last year was just 7.0, but generally these days top QBs are closer to high 7s or 8 at least. It is offense dependent too, don't get me wrong, so this is also on Canales and other pieces not just Bryce.

I was a Stroud guy pre-draft who came around to embracing Bryce once it became pretty clear leading up to the draft that he was our guy. Obviously last year suggests CJ would've been the better pick but the reality is they really were very very close to each other pre-draft. Because of our QB struggles since Cam's injuries I was very excited about trading up just because it ensured we'd have a legit high potential QB for the first time since Cam, but the real issue in hindsight (and at the time if I wasn't blinded by "new QB prospect excitement") was trading up to 1 in that draft and not just being patient. Neither Bryce or Stroud was a guy you trade all the way up to 1 for like we did, and that's ignoring debating the merits of trading up to 1st overall at all. All that said, I have supported Bryce since we took him and have really gotten behind him and wanted/want it to work. What I saw last year was just so objectively terrible that I've become a real skeptic. Now some things this offseason have given me some hope that it was less a Bryce issue and more the coaching and team around him, but until we start seeing it in games I'm still highly skeptical, especially given the fact that I've gone into every season since Tepper took over with some hope for the season and it has continuously been crushed within the first couple months of the season every single time. I would love nothing more than for it to work out with Bryce, but if he doesn't show "true franchise QB" signs this season I really don't want to see the team continue to try to make it work with him if it's clear it won't -- that is absolutely a big fear of mine for the future of this team. And one that is very real given Tepper is the one running things. On a more micro level, Bryce against the Jets in joint practice and his 1 preseason drive cannot be described as anything other than encouraging. Hope we see more of it in the regular season but I'm not exactly counting my chickens yet just based on some offseason play.

Hasn’t he been out of the league several years now pretty much? Cool story with the comeback but at absolute best he’s our 3rd TE, honestly may not even make the roster. I hope he does and I like what I’ve seen but I have no expectation that he’ll actually contribute much at all…
-
Ehh, Pats starters couldn’t move the ball that great against our backups. That was a good drive from Bryce
-
Nice!!! Good enough drive to me to now pull Bryce and other starters. End on a positive note

Sanders is gonna be a stud at least
