Watched the highlights because I decided to watch the Hurricanes game… wtf was that penalty call. Why do we always get the shaft.

I’m usually the negative one but I feel better about where we are than most. Florida isn’t exactly murdering us like Boston and Tampa did in the ECF’s. We’re a couple of OT goals away from the tune being entirely different. And let’s not pretend like Florida isn’t the hottest hockey team in the world right now. They beat what many thought were the two cup favorites out of the East in Boston and Toronto. If we can figure out a way to get game three then doubt will start to creep in because Florida knows that they are only as good as their goalie right now. I can see Florida winning in six games but I can also see the Canes winning in seven.

Fug it, Canes in 7.

If Florida can come back from a 3-1 deficit then the Canes can come back from a 2-0. Is it likely, probably not. But I’ll keep watching until the clock strikes midnight.

Fug me, I left out Jarvis and Noesen So Svech - Aho - Patches Turbo - KK - Necas Marty - Staal - Fast Noesen - Stastny - Jarvis Kase rotating in. That’s a massive difference in what we have now. I don’t see how any team could overcome losing two first liners.

A healthy Canes team would like this: Svechnikov - Aho - Pacioretty Teravainen - Kotkaniemi - Necas Martinook - Staal - Fast Drury - Stastny - Kase That’s your difference in this series.

You can’t win the cup when you are playing AHL’ers… They have Matthew Tkachuk and we have MacEachern. Our two best goal scorers aren’t even in the lineup and expectations needed to be tempered as soon as both went down. Anyone that thinks this team is the same as the one that has Svechnikov, Pacioretty, a healthy Teravainen, and hell, even Kase, is a damn fool. This team got hit hard by injuries this year and it’s now caught up with us.

We exceeded expectations, made it to the ECF with no Svechnikov and no Pacioretty. Can’t even be upset.

Not having the two guys that we thought were going to lead us in goals this year was always going to be the concern should we run into a hot goalie, which we did. People forget but Patches was strictly brought in because of his playoff scoring.
