Not sure about that but I don’t think his defense is where it needs to be to be effective in the playoffs when things are taken up a notch.

Luke Hughes will eventually be a good player but I don’t think he’s ready for this. The Canes need to forecheck like their life depends on it when he’s on the ice.

Big difference between the Canes and Devils series and the Devils and Rangers series is that the Devils were at home when they went down 2-0 to New York. People want to talk about adjustments but let’s be real, Schmid won the series for New Jersey and Carolina has already got to him. I don’t think home ice is as important in this series as it was in the previous series against the Islanders. The Islanders like us limit chances and once you go down it’s hard to come back. I don’t think that’s the case with New Jersey. Even if Hughes gets going, I think New Jersey will still press and be vulnerable on the defensive end. We may give up some goals but I think we can win a shootout in this series.

The last 10 minutes of every game that we are winning is park the bus on steroids. Nonetheless, much needed win. Enzo and Karol play much better when they can play off each other rather than Karol playing underneath.

I think it was a mistake on their part. In my opinion, the Stanley Cup is the hardest trophy to win due to the mental toughness needed for how long the playoffs are, the physical aspect of the game, and then just the sheer volume of games that you need to win in order to claim the cup. Teams nowadays want a quick fix and it’s not always that simple. This could bite the Rangers in the butt.

Graves is now injured, the Devils are going to throw young Luke Hughes right into the fire.

I’m not a Pool Party defender either, I actually think his hockey IQ is one of the worst I’ve seen. If he was a smarter player he’d be really solid.

Ghost turned the puck over trying to skate it out of the zone and was credited with a turnover when he was the furthest player back, there was nothing anyone could have done. Ghost can’t turn that puck over when he’s the last line of defense.

The Devils got some life in the New York series when they went to Schmid. Problem for them is we’ve solved Schmid rather quickly.
