    I miss the good ol’ days when NBC carried the NHL playoffs and Forslund did a good amount of the games.

    In hindsight, with consideration to what Florida is doing in the playoffs, what was an impressive win for the Canes on the road in Sunrise, FL to clinch the Metro is now even more impressive in my opinion.

    If the ECF’s is Carolina vs. Florida, ESPN will probably try to sell the rights to CMT since they think we are all hillbillies.

    Speaking of the Ducks and just general playoff nonsense. Must watch video below. Paul Kariya was one of my favorite players growing up and while it was insanely stupid for him to come back into this game, the goal coupled with the call is amazing.

    Before you trash Vegas’ entrance, I implore you to watch the theatrics during the Anaheim ‘Mighty’ Ducks first game, this was back when Disney owned the team. If you can make it through two minutes without letting your jaw hit the floor then you win.

    I get it, Rod and the blue collar Canes don’t sell but at least pretend like we are also playing. From listening to the broadcast you’d think the Devils were still playing the Rangers.

    NJ’s inability to keep the zone and their overall willingness to turn the puck over is going to hurt them against us. They are used to being able to out skate their opponents… not gonna work here though.

    Actually a really good point, feels like we should rotate some of the older guys (Stepan/Stastny) this series due to the speed of NJ.

    Marino is the only reason it’s not 5-1. Credit when credit is due, he’s saved two goals.

    As expected, NJ was going to get to their game. Would like to see us capitalize on the rush when the Devils inevitably turn the puck over and we have a 2 on 1 going the other way.
