    NJ’s inability to keep the zone and their overall willingness to turn the puck over is going to hurt them against us. They are used to being able to out skate their opponents… not gonna work here though.

    Actually a really good point, feels like we should rotate some of the older guys (Stepan/Stastny) this series due to the speed of NJ.

    Marino is the only reason it’s not 5-1. Credit when credit is due, he’s saved two goals.

    As expected, NJ was going to get to their game. Would like to see us capitalize on the rush when the Devils inevitably turn the puck over and we have a 2 on 1 going the other way.

    Chat was sandwiched unfortunately, he wasn’t getting back. In hindsight Ghost has to to trip, hold, or something. But a more experienced winger probably pitches in.

    Just what we talked about, shots come from everywhere. Great job by Pesce by going with the wrister. Also, we look much better in the face off circle.

    Think playing against NYI will be a blessing in disguise. The games against them are boring sometimes because of the way the Isles play, but we should find it much easier to create chances in this series.

    One thing Schmid will have to get accustomed to is that Carolina shoots from everywhere, no shot is a bad shot. We’ll see if he gets caught cheating sometimes.
