  1. Oh man… Burns almost had another. Sweet feed from KK.
  2. This would explain why Dronov was missing from the TC roster. Now officially down to 40 with Lagesson, Seeley, and Dronov all headed to Chicago.
  3. Lagesson cleared waivers and is headed to Chicago and Seeley has been assigned to Chicago as well (waivers exempt). The Canes state that the training camp roster is at 41 but I only count 40 and I’m not seeing Dronov who is now listed as part of Chicago’s training camp roster.
  4. Interesting lines tonight. Mattheos is making his debut which means Suzuki is the only remaining player on the training camp roster that has yet to play (though he’s working his way back from an upper body injury).
  5. Well for starters, they could extend Mayfield’s drop back. They’ve wasted 12 passes over the past four games by continually running the same scheme that requires Mayfield to do to two and three step drop backs before firing the ball into the defensive line. When a coach is 11-26 and the only common denominator is said coach, it goes wayyyy beyond turnovers and dropped passes. I’d argue that the first down offense is significantly worse than the third down offense. I don’t have time to look up the stats but I’d be willing to bet that the Panthers face third and long (i.e. third and 7+) more than most teams in the NFL because they can’t stay on schedule.
  6. I feel like it’s more difficult to be successively bad at your job than it is to be consistently good. As in, how is one able to do the same thing for four straight weeks, come up with the same result, and not once pose the question to oneself… “maybe I should try something different.”
  7. So does Horn not travel with receivers? And if he doesn’t, is it a coaching staff thing or does Horn prefer only playing one side. It seemed like Arizona was doing everything in their power to get Brown on Henderson.
  8. The chances of Corral getting a real shot here are slim unless the Panthers manage to end up in no man’s land again and are drafting between 11 and 15. Hell, even then, they might fall in love with Anthony Richardson (who I don’t like for what it’s worth). This coming draft just seems like the draft where the Panthers spend an early pick on a QB. Corral still would be given a chance to compete (assuming the new coaching staff keeps him), but obviously a first round QB is going to get more attention than a third round QB that was drafted under the previous regime. Pretty shitty situation for Corral.
  9. I prefer Stroud, I’ve watched him a lot and I think his NFL trajectory will be similar to Herbert’s. Cristobal didn’t really allow Herbert to use his legs in college and many kind of feel like Day might be asking Stroud not to run either. In my opinion, Stroud is definitely mobile and I think we’ll see it at the next level. Both QB’s are extremely accurate but I think Stroud is slightly more accurate and I like his intermediate throw percentage a tad better than Young’s. I think Stroud really separates himself with his arm strength as I feel like he can make every NFL throw and his arm strength is as good as Malik Willis’ was last year. I also think Stroud’s release his right up there with Corral’s. And for those that are worried about Stroud being just another OSU QB and comparing him to Fields, Stroud’s release is milessss ahead of Fields’ and being a pure pocket passer, Stroud reads the field much better than Fields does. I don’t think the players are even remotely similar. All in all, both Stroud and Young have a chance at being really good QB’s but I’d prefer Stroud. I also have a lot of questions about Young’s durability.
  10. We don’t play Washington this year so I think we’re done… 1-16.
  11. I mean the numbers are there… was it boring watching Sam dunk it off to McCaffrey every play… yes… but I’d go back to that (preferably getting Foreman involved as well) over what we are currently watching.
  12. So at this point, it’s fairly obvious that Henderson wasn’t shutting down Moore in TC… Mayfield & McAdoo Idiots at Football LLC were shutting him down.
  13. The article you linked said that Cam had eight through three games in 2015, we are on 12 with Mayfield. Not to mention, this was also an issue in Cleveland… it’s not just a Panthers thing. Mayfield had five passes swatted down in his last start for Cleveland against Pittsburgh. So over Mayfield’s last five starts, he’s had 17 passes batted down while playing for two separate teams. It’s pretty damn obvious that 1) the ball trajectory is too low and 2) his best passes come from when his drop backs are extended. The problem is that McAdoo likes to get the ball out quick which means all of Mayfield’s drop backs are at the most three step drops. It also doesn’t help that his release has slowed down since he entered the league.
  14. Cam had better statistics through three games (which is when that article was posted) in 2015 than Baker has through four games now… not to mention three times as many wins with a worse receiving corp. If you are going to try and paint a picture make sure you finish it.
  15. Depends how far you think this team is from competing… I personally feel like this team could compete with a top QB (which at this point they are on track to get) and a good coaching staff. Trading CMC and Moore for what would amount to early second round picks at the absolute best would set the franchise back further than what it already is. You aren’t replacing those two players with the picks that you are acquiring. This also isn’t a situation like Green Bay and Kansas City went through with their high end players. Those two teams have QB’s in place to withstand losses like that. I feel like that having CMC and Moore would be a Godsend for a young QB. My only hope is that we continue to suck due to our coaching staff and QB play and we get a shot at Stroud.
  16. What are the odds McAdoo ditches Rhule to save his job (rather the potential to get a future job).
  17. Cam isn’t what he was but I can guarandamntee that if given a full offseason to learn the playbook (assuming it’s not some coloring sheet from Waffle House), he’d have us at the very least competing… this team has no leadership and no desire outside of Luvu… Cam would at the very least change that.
