Apparently Charlotte is wearing this kit this weekend, it’s apart of an environmental awareness initiative by the MLS.

Charlotte FC takes on New York Red Bulls tomorrow in the round of 16 of the U.S. Open Cup. If they win, they will host the next round. Charlotte will be without Armour, Fuchs, Hegardt, Mello, and Reyna. I believe they’ll also be without Swiderski and Makoun who are on international assignment. Jozwiak should be available but he will be heading back to Poland soon for international duty as well.

New York specifically signed Reaves because of what Wilson did to them last year. He went rogue and beat the poo out of everyone.

When we win tomorrow and get it to 3-1. I’d consider playing Freddie for the series win so he gets a game before we face Tampa (assuming he’s not ready tomorrow).

Honestly playing a team like New York who has an elite goalie in Shesterkin is a good pre-test for us before we face Tampa. Obviously Tampa is better but the fact that we will know what it’s like to face a goalie who can win a game by himself will help.

It’ll be interesting to see the lineup once Swiderski and Jozwiak head out for international duty.

Vargas was a force today, came on in place of Jozwiak and caused havoc.

I get that the fan base is upset about not winning on the road but today’s performance was encouraging. Personally, I was more upset with the way that we played on the road against Boston. The guy who is going to win the Vezina shut us down today and that’s all there is to it. The only concern I have is the PP, it’s unlikely we beat Tampa if our PP isn’t on. Tampa will score on their’s so we need to score on ours. However, other than the PP, I feel comfortable with our game.
