His post was also wrong… and this is just a sample. Per 100,000 Greensboro - 530 Durham - 439 Goldsboro - 414 Greenville - 362 Asheville - 316 I get it, you live in Durham and are upset that your city struggles with violence outside of a few areas… you continue to strive to be a little Charlotte.

I’ll give him props for living in Greensboro for a year because for my money it’s the worst city in NC.

I do not live in Charlotte… I’m outside of Asheville (which the city itself is a lot like Durham with all the bums). And anytime you are linked with Fayetteville, Greensboro, and Goldsboro, Rocky Mount, etc… it ain’t great.

I have a gun… but I also don’t put myself in stupid situations either…. unfortunately there’s places that it doesn’t matter what you have as protection… I’m sure all the Durham residents remember the Social Games and Brews incident (it was just resolved a couple days ago)… you can’t even walk into a bar without getting shot.

Durham is cool in the same way Detroit is cool. It has some neat areas and is hip and whatnot but there’s still the stain from the other surrounding areas that are still considered Durham.

I mean it is unfortunate for the city. Even though I’m a Carolina guy… Duke is one of if not the most beautiful campus in the country and it’s without a doubt the best hospital in the country. The downtown area seems relatively hip and safe but it does seem that they’ve pushed a lot of crime out but it’s on the outskirts of Durham which unfortunately for Durham… is still part of Durham.

Durham wants to be hip like Charlotte with all it’s brewieres, NODA, Camp North End, Plaza Midwood, etc… but in reality it’s got a decent downtown with a nice university and few nice neighborhoods… the rest of the city is constantly full of crime and gunshots.

The issue here is that the nice parts of Durham aren’t the only parts of Durham. How much has Durham changed since 2019? Because only three years ago it was still the most unsafe city in NC outside of High Point. Not to mention, if Durham is so nice then why are they talking about adding shot spotter again… the town may have added nice tenants and buildings, essentially putting lipstick on a pig… but it’s still crime infested. I’d rather walk into a Target and know I’m not going to get shot at then walk into a bar and not walk out later.

If I had to guess, Bender will be invited to the USMNT camp in January. I also expect Alcivar to eventually be a regular with Ecuador and Makoun is obviously a member of the Venezuelan national team. Kahlina might also be able to get a look from Croatia but he’s a bit older so it’s unlikely.

I like that we have Black who should be able to limit Agbaji. Coach Davis might be best served at getting Puff and Styles in right before the commercial breaks to get Manek a break.

Kansas is going to be an interesting matchup but I do think the Heels matchup well with Kansas. Black on Agbaji Love on Braun Davis on Harris Manek on Wilson Bacot on McCormack If Manek outplays Wilson then I think Carolina comes away with this one.

I’m not sure how much Carolina will have left on Monday. This was an emotional game for both Carolina and Duke but if anyone can get them ready to play then it’s Coach Davis. Regardless, as others have pointed out, it will be a stress free game. I’ll be able to sit back and watch and wonder how the hell we got here.
