Unfortunately, Shesterkin probably saves two or three of the goals that Raanta has allowed.

You serious??? There aren’t a different set of rules just because a player is in a vulnerable position… for example, Foegele was penalized a few years ago for boarding Oshie after Oshie slipped. It doesn’t matter that Oshie slipped… it still resulted in him being boarded. Not to mention, Trouba was completely off the ice, that’s automatically a charge.

Apparently Charlotte is wearing this kit this weekend, it’s apart of an environmental awareness initiative by the MLS.

Charlotte FC takes on New York Red Bulls tomorrow in the round of 16 of the U.S. Open Cup. If they win, they will host the next round. Charlotte will be without Armour, Fuchs, Hegardt, Mello, and Reyna. I believe they’ll also be without Swiderski and Makoun who are on international assignment. Jozwiak should be available but he will be heading back to Poland soon for international duty as well.

Honestly playing a team like New York who has an elite goalie in Shesterkin is a good pre-test for us before we face Tampa. Obviously Tampa is better but the fact that we will know what it’s like to face a goalie who can win a game by himself will help.
