  1. I almost feel like it’s Raanta time, Andersen looks off. Even though that goal will be called off.
  2. Ok refs you better make up for missing that 4 minute.
  3. Wow. Goalies are slow today. This is why I like having Stepan he is excellent on the rebound.
  4. Just listened to Rods pregame, Andersen in net. Stepan coming in this afternoon too, I assuming we are resting Marty.
  5. From Rods presser yesterday it sounds like Andersen will start in net. Which makes sense. San Jose and Seattle are the next two. The question will become who starts in Philly and who takes Washington in Raleigh.
  6. So that is now a “goal” in every one of Jarvis’s games, what?, last 5? 6? Games? I put goal in parentheses cause two of them were called back but he still found the net.
  7. Easily the most physical game we’ve played. Anaheim is an excellent chameleon.
  8. All he had to do was leave his helmet on, he knew it and he knew he was gonna take the penalty. Rhule had to know some kind of penalty worthy celebration was coming. I liken it to one of the new canes this season getting what is called a Gordie Howe hat trick. Where you score a goal, get an assist and have a fight all in the same game. After the guy had the first two he basically asked an opponent to do a “little” fight so he could get his first Gordie Howe. After the game the canes coach(Rod) said post game in the locker room, paraphrasing a bit “ok yay for your Gordie, glad you got that out of our system… right?” (For those that don’t know, the canes are not a fighting team, and only ever use it for extreme momentum shifts) Perhaps Rhule could have used a little more tact, but Rhule doesn’t strike me as the type of person who could even spell tact. So I don’t really take this as an issue at all unless one party decides to blow it up.
  9. Oof, I wonder if Aho is gonna get a fine for that correct non-call.
  10. So nice having Nino back on the forecheck on line 3.
  11. I don’t like scratching Stepan, I would have rathered Lorentz. Stepan has been excellent on the forecheck and two way.
  12. Late game tonight for the east coast. Necas and Nino look to be back, Pecas is not. As @MillionDollarCam noted in the season thread it looks like we are keeping Jarvis in the lineup tonight. Marty-KK-Stepen-Lorentz all listed as fourth line so one of them maybe sitting/resting this evening. Raanta in net which makes since with Vegas middling and both Anaheim and LA on hot streaks. Let’s go get the W.
  13. Anaheim + LA > than Vegas right now. Anaheim has been on a serious win streak. I’d go Raanta, Freddy(Anaheim), Freddy(LA), Raanta(San Jose), Raanta(Seattle), Freddy(Philly) for this road trip. But we also have our first meeting with the capitals in a year and a half two days after we go to philly. So that’s also a factor when considering everything and not just the road trip. We are playing every other day from now until December 4th.
  14. Well because he’s the best shooter out of that bunch by a mile. Stepan and Marty are both close guys. We are only getting close to 20% of the season he’s got a long way to find his feet here. Switching a guy out every few games for Jarvis to keep him playing if there is no injuries will go a long way to managing workload for the season as things start to get more crazy before the Olympics.
  15. That’s a tough one but I think it is Jarvis. People are bound to get knicked up as the season goes on and Jarvis will get plenty of play time. KK simply needs to get in a position to take more shots, his two way has been good not sure about his direct defense. He’s 5th or 6th in hits. I’d hate to bench 6 million until we are sure he isn’t producing at a level he should be. Keep Jarvis practicing with the lines and rotate him in to give guys a rest every few games.
