Too many slap shots into the goalie. No rhythm. Didn’t catch their third goal but I feel like it shouldn’t have happened. I think we need to start Mrazek tomorrow night. Ned is slipping a bit and reimer is just done out at this point besides big time games. I also think Rod is flipping the lines a little too much, gotta get that rhythm between players. Though I do like starting Svech on 1. But put nino on two and let 3 prove themselves.

Dammit Svech and Dammit Ned.

@Stumpy
-
Hamilton with that slow roll.
-
What is it old people day at PNC? There isn’t any energy in that building.
-
The new Overlay was blocking Neds view too apparently.
-
Come on Ned.
-
Nope. Get that poo out of my view.
-
Alright let’s get this show on ice.
-
Oof TB took that one 2-1.
-
Come on Detroit get your game together! 2 on 5 shots.

Not good. From a sports aspect I’m really wondering if Vancouver is going to get screwed games wise and if the north will even be able to finish a full 56. Which may mean P% for the third round and fourth potentially. Vancouver fans were already pisssed at the season because basically everyone but them got COVID and they got screwed on the schedule. From a human side. If these athletes who are worn down are getting it and bad variants. Oof.

Wow that's early. https://www.nhl.com/hurricanes/news/projected-lineup-dallas-stars-carolina-hurricanes/c-323221014 "The Carolina Hurricanes' longest homestand of the season opens with two games against the Dallas Stars. Alex Nedeljkovic will get the start in net, and Jesper Fast, though he didn't skate this morning, will be good to go for the game, according to head coach Rod Brind'Amour. GAME PREVIEW Here is the projected lineup for the Hurricanes. Forwards McGinn-Aho-Necas Svechnikov-Trocheck-Fast Niederreiter-Staal-Foegele Paquette-Lorentz-Martinook Defensemen Slavin-Hamilton Skjei-Pesce Fleury-Bean Goalies Nedeljkovic Reimer Injuries: Mrazek (right thumb), Teravainen (concussion symptoms; injured reserve) Taxi squad: Gardiner, Geekie, Keane, Warm" I don't get whats up with Mrazek. If he could play an AHL game he can play an NHL medically. Ned still needs what 7-8 out of the last 23? How much is that, goalie circus or Mrazek mentally?

https://www.nhl.com/hurricanes/news/petr-mrazek-nearing-return-after-conditioning-start-with-wolves/c-323196888 "CHICAGO - The circumstances were serendipitous. Petr Mrazek had not played a competitive hockey game in more than eight weeks. The Carolina Hurricanes were in Chicago for a two-game set against the Blackhawks. The Chicago Wolves, the Canes' American Hockey League affiliate, were playing a Thursday afternoon game just up the road. It was the perfect set-up for Mrazek to make a conditioning start and feel out his surgically repaired right thumb in a game before returning to the crease for the Canes. So, Mrazek and forward Max McCormick packed their bags to depart the team hotel in Chicago on Thursday morning. While still observing all league travel protocols, Assistant General Manager Darren Yorke played the role of hockey dad and drove his "sons" Petr and Max an hour northwest to the Triphahn Community Center & Ice Arena, the Wolves' practice facility where they are playing home games without fans this season." Must have been an awkward car ride. ""So far, so good. We'll see how it is tomorrow," Mrazek said on Thursday night. "This was a good step going forward. Hopefully it will be good, and I'll be ready to go soon." On Friday, Mrazek was back on PNC Arena ice taking shots once again, and a return to the crease for the Canes seems to be closer than ever. "Petr hasn't really said, 'Hey, I'm 100 percent ready to play,' so we'll wait and see. I think he is," head coach Rod Brind'Amour said in his Zoom availability on Friday. "I think that will be day-to-day. We'll monitor it as we go."" I get the feeling Mrazek is being overly cautious from Rods comments lately. Which don’t get me wrong I totally get. Especially when you basically had your thumb ripped off. But it sounds like it’s more a mental thing/pain management for Mrazek at this point, than a medical clearance thing. Considering he did play a game. I figure it’s probably best to play him tonight if he’s good to go and once against Florida and then rest him vs. Detroit and then go from there.

The beginning of our 8 game homestand, the longest of the season. Where we will face Dallas, Florida, Detroit and finally a feisty Nashville with 16 total points on the line. Also the first game under the rebrand of fox sports Carolina. "The Carolina Hurricanes open a season-long, eight-game homestand with a two-game series against the Dallas Stars. The Match-Up Dallas Stars (12-12-10, 34 points) vs. Carolina Hurricanes (24-8-3, 51 points) Saturday, April 3, 7 p.m. Watch: Bally Sports South, FOX Sports GO Listen: 99.9 FM The Fan, Hurricanes.com/Listen, Hurricanes app Tracking the Storylines Home Cooking: Of the Canes' remaining 21 games in the regular season, 13 will be played at PNC Arena, beginning with the team's longest homestand of the season that will see the Canes play eight straight games at home over a 15-day stretch. The Canes are 11-1-3 at home this season, a points percentage of .833 that ranks second in the NHL. "It's great, I'll be honest with you. This year feels really weird. It feels like we've had a lot of road time," head coach Rod Brind'Amour said on Friday. "It's all about getting ready, but it's nice not being in hotels and stuff to refresh that way." Managing the Load: With Thursday's game in Chicago, the Canes kicked off the final month-and-a-half of the regular season, during which the team is scheduled to play 22 games in 40 days, or one game every 1.82 days. It's going to be a grueling stretch run of the season, with the Canes still eyeing a first-place finish in the Central Division. (Addition: Our last and only remaining two days in a row off comes between Detroit and Nashville on April 13th and 14th) "We haven't practiced very much. We've had a lot of meetings virtually. That's our practice," Brind'Amour said. "It's not physically as demanding as people think. It's the mental stuff to get ready to play a game, a lot of mental energy that has to go in it. When you're at the rink every day grinding, that takes a toll. That's the stuff you have to manage." The Opposition Last five games: 2-1-2, 6 points On the road: 5-6-3, 13 points CAR vs. DAL: 4-0-0 Leading scorer: Joe Pavelski, 34 points (15g, 19a) in 34 games Though they sit in seventh place in the Central Division, the Stars are only five points out of a playoff spot - and they have four games in hand. Those games in hand only mean something if the Stars win them, of course, but it's not inconceivable to imagine last year's Western Conference champions making a late push for the postseason. The Stars earned three of a possible four points in Nashville, the beginning of a six-game road trip that ends in Chicago next week." https://www.nhl.com/hurricanes/news/gameday-preview-dallas-stars-carolina-hurricanes/c-323198274 Canes got this up pretty early so I don't expect a projected roster/goalie until late afternoon, or at least after morning skate on the goalie front. TB and Florida play early today.

As I mentioned even that doesn’t make any sense because let’s say Lance is on the board. A team picking in the 9-12 range wants to move up. Detroit's BPA is on the board a BPA that we would probably take at 8 if the QBs are gone(in this armchair GM QB infatuated world). Maybe a 9 and 7 swap makes sense if they knew we weren’t going to take their guy but not much else. Honestly I’d say say a 19 to 7 swap for Micah Parsons would make more sense but that would leave Detroit way out of the mix.
-
Why? That makes zero literal sense. If they aren’t going to take Lance at 7 why would we want to give up anything to move up a spot for nothing. If they do threaten to take lance in this scenario but just as a play to fleece us we already lost. Finally if they do want Lance why the Fug would they trade with us knowing we were gonna take their pick. The only way this would make any sense is if they were to trade with someone else to take Lance before us. But I have a hard time believing a BPA for them that they want is not going to be on the board right there.

Houston police opening investigation on Deshaun Watson
Harbingers replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Take it as either Watson’s people pushed the complaint so that the HPD/DA will push Buzbee for the info he says he withholding or one of his clients went around him. He said specifically he wasn’t going to give the HPD anything. Complainant is the key in their statement. It sounds like due diligence at this point more than anything else. Frankly if I was these ladies or their advisors they should cut bait from this lawyer ASAP and find another one if their accusations have any merit. He has the potentially to complete blow this entire thing up. -
aha Necas.

Still P% leader, this time solo with Vegas dropping the game yesterday.
-
4/5 really. One was a breakaway but I still think it was off a bad pass in the offensive neutral zone if I remember correctly. Bean really did save the game yesterday though. That poke check was insanely perfect. It was one of his better games overall.
-
You forgot drafting Parsons cause everything else is a smoke screen. D4lyfe.
-
They are our crypnotyte on the road for sure. Getting our D out of position. I think only 1 of their 5 goals was actually an offense finesse shot. Just glad we pulled that out in regulation. Still got a mile to make up against TB in that category.
