The Steelers had Kevin Colbert running their search. We had David Tepper. And the results break down accordingly. I don't necessarily care if there's a search committee choosing the next head coach or not. It just needs to not be Tepper.

If I'm being completely honest, I have a similar reaction when I see Panthers Twitter trying to drum up Pro Bowl votes. I'm sure there are players on our team that might deserve a Pro Bowl nod this year, but I guess you'd say my mind's not really "in that place" right now.

My comment wasn't specifically about Cunningham. I haven't followed him that closely. It's more about how frequently we tend to find out that players were released for good reason.

Underrated movie...

Maybe, but to be fair the quarterbacks these mocks have them taking are expected to fall to their spot anyway. Probably only happens if they want someone they think will go higher or someone else takes a quarterback early and they panic.

Robby Anderson was questioning the timing of the Joe Brady firing given that we're "still in the playoff race". Newton seems to be a little more...realistic about it.

Follow up: He's a Titan. Haven't looked but I think the Titans are lower in the waiver order than us.

Mitch Trubisky was. In the NFL? Not so much.
-
That he didn't go to UNC.
-
Yeah, he actually is (80 years old).

Jordan Gross talks arm length (Rhule is full of poo)

Kevin Colbert might be available. He'd be someone Tepper trusts. That, or just consult with whoever will tell you to hire Nathaniel Hackett.
-
That'd be a good argument if we were talking about hiring Arians. And twenty years isn't exactly accurate. Leftwich didn't get a coaching job until four years after his playing career ended. Playing and coaching are two very different skills. He's only been coaching since mid 2016, and his results when not coaching Carson Palmer or Tom Brady aren't exactly anything to write home about.
-
To be fair, Rhule had nothing to do with Little being drafted here. That said, it's also accurate to point out that he's equally incompetent as the guy who did.
-
I admit it's not as funny as this...
-
Depends on what we do this offseason.
-
Kudos for staying positive or criticism for being delusional?
-
Given that Rhule is the guy with final say on things, he shouldn't. That plus you don't really want to be looking for both a coach and a GM in the same offseason.
-
I look at the possible future.
-
So we had an officiating crew on hand at today's practice to help with team discipline because the Panthers have been committing a lot of penalties. Where did they come from, you ask?
-
I've seen enough of Matt Rhule that I don't want him back. Jeff Nixon is just part of the package that comes with him.
-
My thought process every time I see one of these stories... "Wow, a good player is available!" "Wait...why?"
-
Well, there is this...
-
As far as I know, to date only the Texans have been officially eliminated.
-
As to the topic, I don't honestly know but I'd be in favor of it. Hell, I'm in favor of firing Rhule regardless of the circumstances.
