  1. That might not be as long a shot as you'd think.
  2. Then you put him on the practice squad. The idea of keeping a guy as the backup for practice purposes is one of the flat out dumbest takes ever posted on here.
  3. All this. I believe we'll see Darnold, but I question if we'll see enough of him to judge much of anything.
  4. No, he doesn't. If he had that, this story would already be over.
  5. Cue Vince McMahon theme music...
  6. Sorry I missed this game. Crappy football can be entertaining when it doesn't involve us.
  7. How many consecutive seasons have the Pats drafts been awful? I know they went crazy in free agency this year but that's still a lot to make up for.
  8. Also gotta remember the season is 17 games this year.
  9. I remember when the NFC East was one of the strongest divisions in football. Last year, the entire division was elephant sh-t. If all four teams improve this season, maybe they'll be upgraded to horse sh-t, but it'll still be sh-t.
  10. It is still preseason for them too. That said, I'm actually expecting the Eagles to be terrible this year.
  11. I'm not gonna get to see this game but it sounds interesting.
  12. I see from your other tweet that it looks like we're also going with a two left tackle formation. I mean, we haven't had a single answer there for a few years now, so I suppose it's worth a try
  13. So we only had nine players on defense yet we still looked good? Wow (Hi, John)
  14. This is one of those times where you go "Wow! We could get a former first rounder for cheap!" Then you go "Wait, why are they so willing to part with him?"
  15. Back when I worked in a call center, I jokingly said that while we were walking out of the building during a fire drill. My manager wasn't amused
  16. Most of what I've seen written about Dillard hasn't exactly been complementary. Guys do sometimes benefit from fresh starts (we're certainly hoping one does here already) but I wouldn't give up much.
  17. An awful lot of NFL analysts think he'll be suiting up as the week one starter. Mind you, an advertising image from the league's marketing people doesn't really affect that decision.
  18. To be fair, none of us knows how serious Perryman's injury is. It could legitimately be something that he shouldn't play through. And heaven knows we've seen examples of guys short circuiting themselves by playing sooner than they ought to have. Now with that said, the phrase "you can't make the club from the tub" is a very valid observation.
