If the day comes when the Panthers have won a Super Bowl, I can't even imagine how those of us who have been here from the beginning are going to react.

It's true. I do see a lot of positive signs though. The "Panthers Confidential" video for example is great. You get the sense that we're finally playing chess after 15 years of playing checkers.

Funny thing: If you dug into my past conversations, you'd find I'm not a big fan of retreads. I much prefer draft picks. Buuuut I also accept that there's more than one way to do things.

I could agree with that if we still had our prior GM or coaching staff. Happily though, that long national nightmare is over. Whether or not Rhule and Fitterer are the guys to lead us to the Promised Land? Don't know yet. But at least they're not Marty and Ron.

It is a puff piece, but it's also consistent with reports we've had from Person and others who confirm we weren't interested in Fields. Even as a puff piece though, this video has a pretty unprecedented level of access. You certainly wouldn't have gotten this kind of inside peek during the Jerry Richardson days. Heck, most teams in the NFL wouldn't have given you this kind of access even just a few years ago. It's pretty great for the football fanatics among us.

There were reports that we didn't think Lance would fit Joe Brady's offense. The fact that we didn't bother attending his second workout kinda lends credence to that.

You can look back on my posts prior to the trade and you'll find I wasn't a huge fan of the idea, but said I'd accept it if we did it and hope for the best. We did, and I have. If he doesn't pan out, we'll be in a much better position team wise to spend the resources and trade up for a guy like Howell.

Agree with a lot of that but I really think the Watson ship has sailed. If Darnold isn't the guy, I expect our next quarterback to come from the draft.

I don't need to put words in your mouth, dude. You're doing well enough on your own. You don't think Darnold is going to succeed. I get it. At this point I'm pretty sure everybody gets it. Fine. It's your opinion. What's sad is that you not only feel the need to insult people who think he will succeed, but also those who just say "maybe".

Agreed. Tepper did a good job of staying in the loop without butting in. Guessing he must have gotten bored by day three of the draft though because he doesn't seem to be there for any of those picks
