Hate to hear that Could be useful if you find yourself in a "Blazing Saddles" situation though.

I'm pretty sure it's the same poster. It's his thing. He gets attached to an idea and spams it everywhere till eventually he pisses enough people off to get himself banned (Linville's already warned him). I've tried to persuade him to listen more and not spam so much but you can see how that's going

Scott Fitterer: We want Sam Darnold to just flush what's happened
Mr. Scot replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Very much so. Newton would be a poor fit to the kind of offense we're running now. Likewise, I wouldn't ask Sam Darnold to run the kind of plays we had for Newton before. -
Yer a meanie

Yeah, none of that stuff refers to roster decisions, just staffing decisions. Dude, I get that you hero worship Tepper, but you're reading your own narrative into pretty much everything here. And as such, getting it completely wrong. The most important things you need to know are that, when Fitterer was hired, Tepper specifically stated that he was not an evaluator and wasn't going to try to be. Likewise, Matt Rhule said in his recent interview with Rich Eisen, "Dave leaves the football stuff to me and Scott" (exact quote, not paraphrased). And to top it all off, if you read Gantt's war room article, it clearly describes Tepper not being part of player choices. You can continue to believe whatever you want, but the reality has already been spoken by the people who are there. You can put as much work as you want to into spinning it, but it doesn't change reality.

From Gantt's war room article... The Texans called, offering their fourth-rounder and a 2022 fourth-rounder to move up from 109 to 89. Having given up their own fourth in the deal for quarterback Sam Darnold, the Panthers were immediately intrigued. Then came the haggling. Looking for more value, the Panthers asked which fourth the Texans were offering, their own or the Rams pick acquired in a previous trade. If the Panthers were willing to take the Rams' pick, there was going to need to be more stuff included. "There's a lot going on at the time," Burke said with a laugh, in the understatement of the night. Tepper, Fitterer, Rhule, and cornerbacks coach Evan Cooper were standing by Stewart and Suleiman's side-by-side desks, on a call with the Texans. Things were being discussed. It didn't appear to be going well. Burke had a player's name on a card, ready to make a selection at 89. Eventually, the two sides started speaking the same language, and the deal was made. The Panthers picked up an extra fifth-rounder and the all-important future fourth (the Rams version), giving them five picks on Saturday, and wrapping things up for a night.

Insects, however, are permitted.

She's hot for sure, but that was...clumsy.

Depends on whether they have a reason to lie. Talking about what might happen with a player or draft pick? Grain of salt. Something like this? What's the point?

Panthers interviewing for Director of College Scouting job
Mr. Scot replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think the promotion to his current job came two years ago. Morrow's in a funny spot because he and Pat Stewart have the same title, only difference being that Morrow has "executive" in front of his. What's even more "funny" though is that, despite his elevated title, what he's actually been doing the last few years is acting as the director of college scouting... ...the job they just hired someone else to do. Makes you wonder if he's getting reassigned, promoted or let go. He didn't get interviewed for Assistant GM, so "promoted" doesn't sound likely. -
People who've been to camp will tell you the humidity is nasty.

I got told to "walk and talk" a couple of times

Scott Fitterer: We want Sam Darnold to just flush what's happened

It's actually not, but just for clarity Rivera was going to be fired in 2012. The only reason he wasn't is that Marty Hurney offered to fall on the sword for him. So if that's "how things work", does that mean you think Rivera was being fired for having a sh-tty QB? -
Yep. Can't really hold that against them.

Stuff always gets leaked before the official release.

Heck, the last time I was there, JC was still alive and pushing the line at The Beacon.

When I was about 9 or 10, my best friend's family took a trip to watch a Cincinnati Reds series and took me along. Amazing lineup that year. They had Tony Perez, Joe Morgan, Dave Concepcion and Pete Rose manning the infield, Johnny Bench catching, Cesar Geronimo and Griffey Sr in the outfield. Got to see Tom Seaver pitch too. Pretty sure they won the series that year. I was too young to truly appreciate just how good a team I was watching.

That's gonna be a few years.

I tried (really hard) to get into soccer back when the US was in the World Cup semifinals or whatever years back. I just couldn't do it. Baseball? Might take a while to get my feet wet again.

Haven't been to The Beacon in a long time.

DaQuan Jones on The Golden Calf of Bristol
Mr. Scot replied to Smithers's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is probably a fair take... -
Looks like it... I know a lot of folks aren't big fans of the playing surface down there, and even less are fans of the heat.
