I could live without seeing Young play again.
-
That'd be my choice.
-
Or games
-
For who? Young? Oy
-
Damn

Howdy folks. Nice hit by Chandler Wooten. Game started looking nice, but that big pick six sure put a damper on things.
-
Ah...well Sorry, I had a bit of a hectic offseason.
-
I can align with that. If we have the kind of pick we're expecting to have though, and given that this year's quarterback class doesn't look like anything special, then if there's a seriously good left tackle prospect on the board, that's likely what I'd be lobbying for.

What were your expectations for this season?

I had similar ideas... -
To work under Wilks...or as a potential replacement for Wilks next year?
-
Placing phone calls to Kevin Colbert and/or Will McClay. Then as soon as one of them is put in charge, go back to sitting my happy ass on the couch.
-
I get that. I also remember the quote that learning to play on the opposite side of the line is like "trying to wipe with your other hand". That said, I'm still not certain Ickey Is our best long-term option as a blind side blocker. Probably also worth noting that Moton has been around for a while.
-
Notable... I could see a scenario where he comes onboard this season as a "defensive consultant" or some such, then takes over the defense next year if Evero isn't retained or moves on.
-
That's my big issue Regardless of what you think of Bozeman, how in the hell did we pass on Frazier?
-
What did you expect this year? To quote my optometrist, is it better...or worse?
-
Bozeman was a bulldozer as a run blocker. Plus he knew his assignments and the position. To be clear though, I don't so much have an "issue" with Ekwonu as I just wonder whether he's being put to his best use.
-
What about trying him at right tackle and going after a more prototype left tackle? (I'm talking future seasons, of course; no such changes like that are possible this year)
-
Don't they all?
-
Over Blackshear... Yeah, I don't get that at all
-
Valid, but it's also true that good personnel people give coaches the kind of players they need to run their schemes. Have we done that?
-
People are down on Hubbard? Why? Hell, I think he might have been underused in the past few games.
-
Evero's defensive scheme is really complex. Do we have all the right players for it? I'm not sure, especially not given all the injuries.
-
That "when healthy" phrase is what hurts Corbett. (I might be in the minority but I find myself wishing we had kept Bozeman at that spot) Don't know if Ickey Is ever going to turn into that franchise left tackle we want him to be. If guard isn't an option you might try him at right tackle, or if one of our current guards can play that spot then move Ickey to right guard. I've pondered Hunt as a left tackle but I don't know that he's ever played that spot and it's no guarantee he'd be just as good. He's got the build for it, but that doesn't really ensure anything.

Settled at left tackle or still better suited to play guard?
