Oher was good. Remmers mostly did okay against people not named Von Miller. Things I hated about that season: - Rivera always coasted in the second half and thus games that looked like blowouts in the first half became nail biters in the second. - The team failing to adjust after Atlanta exposed weaknesses in our schemes, then watching those same things happen in the Super Bowl. - Learning that the coaches told someone (Mike Gilbert, I think) to help Remmers against Miller in the Super Bowl, and them basically refusing to do so

No argument. I've said before it's not on the college coaches to prepare players for the NFL. Their job is to win games, and the methods for doing that are a lot different than at the pro level. Wasn't always such a big discrepancy, though. I get why it's changed, but I miss when there wasn't such a huge gap.

I don't think he was ever fully healthy when we had him. That said, the way they're using him is way smarter than what we tried.

Changes to the college game are why it's become so hard to develop quarterbacks and find half decent offensive linemen.

My "what if" with Newton will always be what if his early development would have been trusted to someone like Norv Turner rather than Mike Shula.

Preseason three (at that time, the 'dress rehearsal' game) he looked horrible. Played great when it mattered though. These days,the college game just doesn't teach pro level skills like it once did. Makes it much harder to identify QB talent.
