  1. Rhule and Brady had the same agent. I haven't seen any actual evidence that Tepper forced Brady on Rhule.
  2. I know the big thing right now is to hire the young guy who's only been around for a couple of years and hope he's the next Sean McVay. That doesn't interest me at all. Hell, that's how we got Joe Brady.
  3. I want somebody with more experience. Hackett has been coaching since 2003. Daboll since 1997. Leftwich started in 2017.
  4. I'd actually like to change my answer... Hell, no!
  5. Moore actually has less coaching experience than Brady did. So does Leftwich.
  6. The NFL has plenty of guys who make popular decisions rather than wise ones. And yes, David Tepper is one of them.
  7. Pederson would actually make a great OC candidate if Rhule were to stay in place. Not really sure Rhule would give him a look though.
  8. He said last week that he didn't anticipate making any coaching changes. Mind you, that's one of those open-ended statements that doesn't necessarily indicate an absolute commitment. Rhule's good at those.
  9. We fell for the hype. Sean McVay's success has sent a bunch of other teams looking for the next version of him.
  10. Nothing against Eberflus, but I don't want another defensive coach.
  11. I'd prefer Hackett but I could live with Daboll. From what I've read, his biggest strength is having a really good eye for favorable matchups.
  12. I'm honestly more struck by just how little experience Joe Brady actually had before he was handed the Panthers OC job.
  13. Nathaniel Hackett But since both Dan Morgan and Pat Stewart have prior history with Brian Daboll, I'd expect him to be the more likely candidate.
  14. Pre-Panthers job histories or our old OC and his replacement pulled from the Panthers 2021 media guide... JOE BRADY Linebackers Coach - William & Mary (2013-2014) Graduate Assistant - Penn State (2015-2016) Offensive Assistant - New Orleans Saints (2017-2018) Passing Game Coordinator / Wide Receivers Coach - LSU (2019) JEFF NIXON Student Assistant - Penn State (1997) Runningbacks Coach - Princeton (1998) Runningbacks Coach - Shippensburg University (1999-2002) Runningbacks / Tight Ends / Special Teams Coach - Tennessee-Chattanooga (2003-2005) Runningbacks Coach - Temple (2006) Offensive / Special Teams Assistant - Philadelphia Eagles (2007-2010) Runningbacks Coach - Miami Dolphins (2011-2015) Tight Ends Coach - San Francisco 49ers (2016) Co-Offensive Coordinator / Runningbacks Coach - Baylor (2017-2019)
  15. I hope you're right. I'm only at about 50-50 myself.
  16. I'd rather have Nathaniel Hackett, but the guy I think would likely be first in line is Brian Daboll.
  17. Let's be real: Brady wasn't ready for this job. The Panthers were thought they were getting another Sean McVay, or at the very least Sean Payton lite. But like a lot of prior Panthers employees, Brady was overpromoted into a role that he wasn't really qualified for. We probably shouldn't be shocked at this because the same can quite honestly be said of Matt Rhule.
  18. Said it elsewhere: We all thought the Brady hire meant we were going to be a different kind of team. Rhule is proving that he's just Fox / Rivera all over again.
  19. Replacement OC is a runningback coach.
  20. The head dumbsh-t is still in charge.
