That actually would have been my choice.

Matt Rhule said in a presser not too long ago that they view Brady Christensen more as a right tackle, or possibly a guard. I said earlier in the thread that I could see Moton moving left this year, then going back to the right side next year while we draft or otherwise acquired our left tackle of the future. But then again, if Moton plays there this year and looks good, well...

I'm pretty happy that they got a long term deal done without making him the highest paid at his position. I don't recall that happening for us a whole lot in the past.
-
I don't know if it's likely, but I do believe it's possible. It's not too hard to imagine a scenario where he plays left tackle this year then moves back to the right next season so we can draft a left tackle of the future.

Very interesting point. There's been a pretty big disparity between what was predicted to happen and what actually ended up happening on a number of fronts. That's one of the reasons I believe all the hyped up Watson talk was probably bullsh-t. The Fields talk certainly was. It may indeed be that what David Tepper wants might find its way to the media, but history so far has taught us that what Tepper wants isn't necessarily what Rhule and Fitterer are going to do. Mind you, being able to keep your plans quiet doesn't automatically equal correct decision making, but it's still a good thing on its own.

Happy to hear

Nope, because I was thinking of a player who started with us and then went to the Patriots, not the other way around. The first name most people think of would be Cam Newton but I didn't remember Newton saying anything like that so I looked up who did.

Imagine if Luke had tweeted every time he sat down to watch film Some guys like the social media stuff. Some don't. I don't care either way as long as they produce on the field.
-
I can't think of a single time that's been true, and sorry but saying it doesn't make it true either. Mind you, it wouldn't be difficult to point out several examples of the reverse But anyway... Brandon Lafell says the Patriots work a little harder than the Panthers

What will a week 1 loss to the Jets do to Darnold?
Mr. Scot replied to CanadianCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
There are people on here who will implode if we lose in preseason. -
To be fair, I've had some past relationships where it wasn't so much a matter of not remembering what caused a fight as it was having absolutely no idea. Mind you, nobody ever knocked one of my teeth out.

REPORT: No movement in Panthers’ talks w/ Taylor Moton
Mr. Scot replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Deadline is 4pm today. Mind you, even if they do get a deal done by then it might not be announced immediately. Sometimes the announcement comes a little later in the day. -
Wrong...again. It was Brandon Lafell.

Back from vacation, talk to me about your training camp interests.

Like, say... talking about it? It's not like Marsh sued the team for emotional distress. And it's hardly unusual for players to talk about their experiences with teams, including negative ones. Heck, one of our own who left for New England talked about the Patriots working harder than us (don't remember who, maybe Newton but I'm not dead certain).

You're not that important to me, dude -

I'm honestly not planning to look at this game differently than I would any other. My guess is that same advice will be given to Darnold (and likely has been already). -

Elflein is absolutely a guy I would have been interested in a few years ago. I've said before though that I'm not a big fan of signing guys because they used to be good. So here's hoping... -
Well, it's not like we haven't seen Matt Rhule talk somebody up only to watch them hit the bricks shortly thereafter.

But hardly "set for life" money, especially if you've got a family. You have a lot more faith in college age kids than I do Hell, plenty of adults don't even have good financial sense.
-
If you'd have handed me a big wad of cash right out of college, I'd probably be broke in short order too. Hell, most of us probably would have been.
-
That depends on whether you're talking about veterans, rookies or practice squad players. You can get a pretty good idea by heading over to Spotrac or Over the Cap and looking at the roster breakdown.

I think that had a lot more to do with Ron Rivera than it did Taylor Moton. -

Little definitely has a pulse. His issues have been with his brain. Add that to Tahir Whitehead not having the heart and Teddy Bridgewater not having the nerve and I guess we really could have used a trip to see The Wizard last year.
