  1. Hurney should have been fired no matter who the coach was. Schultz mentioned wondering what could have been if he'd been fired before Rivera. I added he's not the only one who wonders about that. And no, that doesn't bolster your argument. Actually it's another point against it. Guessing you didn't read that too carefully
  2. Wish I knew. I tried to discount it when it was first happening, but she's been consistent
  3. Pretty sure Corral goes to the practice squad...or potentially elsewhere, I suppose.
  4. Brandt was primarily discussed on here for his initial evaluation of Cam Newton, but he has a much longer history than just that. RIP to one of the great personnel guys of NFL history.
  5. The story of that meeting is one of the things that made me uncomfortable about Rhule early on. Tried pretty hard to get past it, but it never really left. For his part, Tepper has at least admitted that early on he genuinely believed he was the smartest guy in the room and was going to show the rest of the league how it was done. Obviously he didn't, but the fact that he's willing to admit that is a good sign.
  6. Dude, we all get it. You don't like Fitterer. You think he should have been fired. Everybody gets it at this point. The problem is that the reasoning behind your argument is, well... To be brutally honest, stupid. And it's not a super fan thing. The vast majority of people here would agree that Fitterer will and should be given a chance to see what he can do without having to answer to The Meatball. That's where we are. There are only a few people whining about it. You just happen to be the most vocal.
  7. Or a bleeding and a course A lot of us wondered about that. We've learned since his firing that Tepper actually became disillusioned with Rhule after his very first season, but still stuck with him for what would have been two more. "Patient" is definitely one way to describe that.
  8. Oh, she will. And when the Cowboys games are on, I'll be sitting with her. The parakeet will only be sitting with us for the Dallas games, though. When the Panther games are on, she throws a fit, goes back to her cage and sulks. (not kidding about that, she really does)
  9. His name used to give my autocorrect fits.
  10. Lady Cowboy Fan thinks it's hilarious
  11. Again, no. What's you're suggesting is just dumb, regardless of who it's aimed at, and not just in terms of football. Why, under any circumstance, would you fire someone you believe is good at their job just because they were associated with someone who's bad? That's just goofy.
  12. A few others probably said the same thing.
  13. I suppose this would be considered the one week notice...
  14. He's mentioned a couple of times in the practice squad threads along with a highlight reel or two posted.
  15. Yeah sorry, but this idea that coaches and GMs should be fired together is probably one of the silliest I've seen. Strategy like that would mean essentially rebuilding entire front offices and coaching staffs every few years. That kind of organizational instability even older Al Davis's Raiders would look down on. To top it all off, while decrying David Tepper as an owner, you are at the same time suggesting that he should be in charge of reorganizing the entire team structure every time somebody gets fired. I hope this is one of the times you're bullsh-tting because this is some of the dumbest takes I've seen around here in a while.
  16. Out of curiosity, anyone else see this?
  17. Taylor wasn't anything special. Maybe he'll be better there but I'm not necessarily expecting it.
  18. To be honest, I'm not sure anything much is gonna come from this lawsuit outside of the knowledge that Bill Bidwiill is a sh-tty owner. (not like we didn't already knew that)
  19. I'll accept responsibility for marrying a Cowboy fan. I maintain however thatI did nothing to deserve a traitorous parakeet
