    Speaking on NFL Network's draft coverage just now, both Ian Rapoport and Peter Schrager stated that the Panthers were indeed prepared to take Kenny Pickett at #6 if Ikem Ekwonu hadn't fallen to them. (no link per video only, may be one later)
