  1. I am pretty sure Harbaugh would mean he's on the street. The closest thing he had to Darnold was Blaine Gabbert as a backup in 2014. We will see what the market is for Sam. I suspect he isn't going to be quickly scooped up as a backup option.
  2. I assume he also checked sources and didn't just spray that out there without doing that. Well, that is what journalists USED to do.
  3. The difference is that most coaches have guys that they are familiar with they can get from the free agent pool. Sam isn't going to be a hot commodity on the free agent backup QB market. We will see but I would be very surprised if he goes quickly or for very much money.
  4. Yeah, that means they are hearing the same thing.
  5. There is almost no chance that any new coach is going to be interested in re-signing Sam Darnold. The only one that might is basically Wilks.
  6. Play our cards right and we might get a couple of free drinks and a ride on Jim's D. Gotta be careful though, that whore the Broncos is over there in that low cut top with her tits all spilling out.
  7. I mean.....cross that bridge when it comes. I don't think you will struggle to get those interviews filled. Even if it's a sham, it's an excellent opportunity to go through the process for the candidates and potentially make an impression. Definitely can lead to future opportunities if you treat it that way. Obviously if you are a guy that is a former head coach or have other opportunities to be a head coach, it might get declined.
  8. Yeah, possibly so. I do like the idea of having two elite CB's, though. Parsons across from Burns would be fuging insane too.
  9. This went from making eyes across the bar to making out pretty quickly.
  10. Quick, someone Photoshop Sam and PJ'S head on those.
  11. I definitely don't like all that getting leaked. Burns and his agent are going to fuging rape us on that deal. Or, even worse, we can't come to an agreement and he ends up eventually getting away. I think we will all be salty about that.
  12. Yeah, Bradberry and Horn as bookends would be fuging bananas.
  13. Yeah, I am willing to give Fitterer a chance but if it comes down to a top coaching candidate wanting a change there......sorry 'bout your luck Fitty.
  14. That's actually older. I am guessing that was the situation that got Tepper to call him.
  15. Maybe. It depends on how it shakes out. Sometimes that QB rush doesn't materialize and the order gets strange pretty quickly or a rash of trade ups with throw everything off. I think we should be able to get a good talent but it may not be in a position that is necessarily worth a top 9 pick. 8-9 is kind of tough sometimes if the top 10 talent is a little thin in high value positions. Seems like this is DL and WR heavy. Both of which we could use.
  16. Yeah and that is where I do tend to agree, some teams may not want to disrupt a successful run(also keep in mind the trade deadline is Week 8). I also generally disagree on the "future picks having less value." I don't think they are quite as devalued as you do. It really doesn't matter. Burns career arc will judge the compensation and decision. Especially since that offer is long gone now.
  17. Yeah, at the end of the day they are going to do something that is the least schedule disruptive and least impactful to the overall bottom line. That's probably either playing the game tomorrow or canceling it. There is no perfect solution.
  18. Another elite WR is an option in the 6-9 range. I would rather have an elite DE prospect if those fall or, obviously ideally, a good QB candidate. We will see how the board shakes out. I do think this is a spot where we could see a trade down depending on what is available(or projected to be).
  19. There is literally zero chance of this. They will cancel the game before they let it completely screw up the remaining playoff and Super Bowl schedule.
  20. Only a UNC homer would make such an insane proposition. The kid is obviously very talented but the NFL draft road is littered with QB's who have a solid one year of film on them, sky high future draft stock and then the rest of their college career doesn't show enough improvement. That goes for the Caleb Williams fanboys, as well. Sure, it's nice to look ahead at that and wish but we are a long way from them going through their draft process and having multiple years of film to study.
  21. I think that is the MOST logical and least impactful to the schedule option. But it would have been announced by now.
  22. I would generally disagree on the amount of teams that would decline. Maybe there are some situations but probably not many. Yeah, his production declined a little towards the end of the year but I don't make this determination on the player as much as the compensation. That is a wild amount of draft capital to be holding.
