We're down like 1 2nd rounder this year. Other than that we have pretty much the same amount of high draft picks as 80% of the rest of the league. Are there a few with a bunch of firsts in the next 2 years or so? Yeah. We're currently top 10 in the most cap space. Not going to argue with you on the coaching staff, because they're balls. IDK man....the short term situation is less than ideal but its nothing that is not pretty easily fixable. There is no perfect situation in the NFL.

Cam is not a better QB at this point in his career than Watson. Hell I don't think Cam has ever been a better QB than Watson, except for maybe his MVP year. Watson is a top 5 pure passer when hes playing....kinda hard to dispute that. His last season playing he completed a whopping 70% of his passes, for nearly 5,000 yards 33 TDs and 7 INTs. And his lowest completion percentage while starting the full season is 67.3%. Pretty incredible when you realize hes hardly just dinking and dunking down the field. He takes risks and deep shots on the regular.

Im sure they do. These are billion dollar enterprises with access to whatever they want. Im sure every interested party has hired private investigators, lawyers, analysts and whatever else money can buy to get as much intel as humanly possible on the situation.

So yeah, we should totally just give up on trying to acquire a superstar QB, because they obviously cannot win games all by themselves.

THIS. If we can settle the QB position with a superstar QB like Watson, all we need is a couple nice o line additions and we are in business. Especially with the current state of the NFC South.

The thing is....you have absolutely no idea until it happens. And Rhule and Co HAVE done a very good job turning the defense around. Just a few years ago it was a laughing stock that couldn't get off the field to save its life, now we're among the best defenses in the league. Perhaps with the right QB the same thing could happen to the offense. Yall around here act like we've gone 0-33 the last 2 seasons and gotten blown out in every game.

Times have changed in the NFL. Teams are absolutely willing to move high draft picks for actual star players they want. More and more teams are going to start following the Rams GM model - aka "fug Them Picks".
