BAKER MAYFIELDQB, CAROLINA PANTHERS ESPN’s Dan Graziano “wouldn't be surprised” if Baker Mayfield returns as the Panthers’ starter in 2023. Mayfield set career lows before shoulder surgery ended his season in Week 14 last year. Re-signing with the Panthers, who traded for Mayfield in July, is in play if Mayfield rebounds closer to what he was in 2020. Mayfield looked healthy in his Panthers’ debut, throwing for 235 yards with two touchdowns. With third-rounder Matt Corral (Lisfranc, IR) returning and only four picks in the 2023 draft, the Panthers may look to re-sign Mayfield rather than replace him this offseason.
