  1. I'm sure Richardson and the other owners will make sure they aren't stuck paying players millions on some obscure list again this offseason..... People are so fixated on the players.....all of who had various degrees of putting themselves in the position to be on it "being punished"....when it was the teams who got screwed. I could easily argue how Rivera was punished more than Hardy. That pick chunk of his cap being removed was a huge handicap for him as a HC.
  2. It is definately a weird thing...not sure dusting that off really did anyone a favor.
  3. But it was all wierd. Court didn't demand immediate something. NFL appealed. I know the list allows certain communication that Peterson and his agent need to have that they couldn't if the appeal places AP in a suspensed status I just haven't read anyone credible report otherwise in regards to consent.
  4. If he wasn't on the list what would his current status be? There are lots of quirky rules.
  5. Did you just try to compare...eh...nevermind. Even I won't tangle with that logic
  6. NFL players have to consent and agree to be placed on it. They can resist if they want. Hardy believed that was his best option. I'm just stating fact about the list He likely agreed to it bc it secured him a paid vacation instead of facing you know.....punsihment of losing game day checks.
  7. You have to be able to start with that simple question though to really talk about Hardy at this point. Sure it gets much more complicated than a simple question....but people at this point are acting like the NFL has no right to discipline employees unless they have the backing of a court
  8. NFL can fine or suspend you and your name never even be brought up in a court of law. People seem to try to blur the outcome of a court scenario must some how dictate if he has or hasn't done something that his employer deems punishable. They aren't the same
  9. I'll try this one more time.... Can your employer discipline you....if you have not legally been convicted of something? Or charged with a legal crime? Yes or no. Simple question
  10. A long paid vacation you consent to isn't punishment.... Asinine to think? If it was asinine to think Hardy would have already been reinstated and told to keep kraken
  11. Admission of guilt has nothing to do with what we are talking about.... NFL doesn't need that
  12. So your employer can't discipline you for actions unless you are found guilty in a court of law.....which is essentially your arguement. That is disproven everyday, in every profession
  13. Hardy isn't the same. Ray Rice was punished. NFL tried to do it twice. Hardy never had the initial punishment
  14. Again, the NFL can't just put players on the list. It is a mutual thing. Hardy and his agent agreed to be put on the list. They didn't have to be on it
  15. m Second time of what? A rumor? As far as Hardy....prosecutors in court weren't claiming they "thought" the chick agreed to a settlement. The State had reliable info on it. So let's not act like it is some mystery yet to be solved....and she was uncooperative as she toured the country with her settlement money. But it is bed time for me
  16. NFL never could prove Big Ben paid off those girls....and again he never even saw a charge he had to defend
  17. So you know Big Ben paid off girls....despite never being charged with a crime. But with Hardy it is a great unknown? That is pretty selective.... Riley example was simply illustrating there really is no point being fixated on court rulings and legal matters. NFL Code of conduct is what matters on if a player will be punished
  18. McDonald would have had to agree to be on it. So the degree his team was really behind him isn't really known. Leading up to this year, the universal policy was teams really stayed out of stuff until stuff played out.
  19. NFL can't just put you on the list. Hardy was on it bc he agreed to be
  20. What crime was Riley Cooper charged of when Philly disciplined him? What crime was Big Ben charged with when the NFL disciplined him? None of those scenarios are comparbale to each other and none are comparbale to Hardy. What they show is the NFL/teams can and will discipline players and it has nothing to do with the legal system.
  21. But again, the courts determine what does or doesn't happen to Greg in terms of his actual life. NFL doesn't need proof of any that nor does it simply say well we won't punish Greg bc the legal system didn't.
  22. New policy doesn't apply for Hardy. Not that simple. Ray Rice example just laid that foundation
