  1. 9-8 isn't carrying a team tho imo. He'd just execute the offense better, which is all that's needed in this weak division.
  2. Prime Cam Newton has this team with a 11-6 or better record, lol. Look what he did in 2015 with those receivers. He'd make this OL look so much better, and Chark would have had a career year even with his drops. If you think Thielen looked good this season see what happens when he's catching darts 30 yards downfield instead of running 10-15 yard routes... Edit: cams offenses averaged a touchdown more per game than this year's team did across even bad years, more in gold years. We'd have beat the poo out of so many teams with him as QB this year, lol.
  3. Clausen is a terrible choice for arguing why we shouldn't be so hard on Bryce's season
  4. We're probably 9-8 with Dalton. Yes Seattle was a bad defense but not the worst defense we played, and our offense basically doubled our average with him as QB for one game, early in the season. The number of games we lost because our O couldn't move the ball AT ALL... Dalton makes a huge difference. The NFC South was just plain weak this year and we played them all crazy close, with the worst QB in the league.
  5. ... Why? The only thing at all consistently good about Bryce is the fact he's not soft. Dude is getting smacked around weekly and bouncing right back up. Pillows is a weird nickname for him.
  6. I remember how we thought the Texans had worse receivers than us. Guess having one of the best rookie QBs of all times changes how people view receivers. Stroud and Bryce both made history for their seasons, lol.
  7. Lol Stroud dropping out of the first two rounds???? Wtf... Must be an OSU hater...
  8. As much as I wanted him a Panther, I'm happy Stroud has found success. And I'm glad he's proved so many doubters wrong.
  9. And S2 tests, the true measure of success.
  10. Okay sure he can throw bombs. But how's his dinner table game?
  11. The undermining the coach is why he has to go. He's just a Tepper pawn and the org doesn't need more people like that.
  12. Let me put it this way - we know what the numerator is in this case, a throw to an open receiver. If the denominator is the total number of passes attempted, it doesn't tell us if a receiver was open on a play and thus it doesn't tell us if Bryce actually made a bad read. If the denominator is the number of plays in which a receiver is open and a throw is attempted, it would tell us more on that. Aka, is Bryce not throwing to open men because nobody is open? That is actually what I think this figure might show from the last time it came up. Average separation isn't a great measure on if players are always open on plays, but it indicates approximately if receivers are getting space... It will be really badly skewed if a team has a heavily targeted guy good at getting open (what I suspect is going on with Goff)... Ours is towards the middle/ low end of that, which is consistent with what I think of our receivers... Our receivers are better than a lot of the crazy defenders of Bryce say, but they're still pretty bad, lol. There are plays where nobody is actually open... It seems about half of our passing plays are like that.
  13. It is definite progress, but if he keeps fitt it won't make too much difference in results IMO.
  14. I'd like mroe detail on what percent of throws to open men mean. For instance, is it percent of throws to open men out of total percent of throws, or out of total percent of throws in which a player was open? That's an important distinction.
  15. Bosa has twice the QB hits and more sacks in his 'down' year. He's just a more complete player Burns doesn't deserve what he's asking for, if he really wants 30 mil+.
  16. Eh Evero is a good coordinator. But he doesn't have great pieces for his scheme. Possible Brown is the same, hard to tell. Evero's D, between injuries and the shittiness of our offense, is working under impossible strain and still doing OK. Good enough to repeatedly put us in position to win games with even an average offense.
  17. Our OL isn't even the worst in the league. Our overall receiving group (that is, including TEs) might be. Doesn't matter how much time you give a QB if he can't find someone to throw to.
  18. Can't wait to see what frequently injured player we overpay for in 2026.
  19. I don't know how Fitterer survives unless he's wedged so far up Tepper's ass, he's impossible to remove.
  20. I wouldn't say we've rebuilt the Bears just yet but we've certainly given them all the tools to rebuild themselves lol
  21. The degree of compounding errors has been insane... And it all comes down to Tepper's impatience. From moving on from Cam to Teddy to Darnold (and the extension) ... To Mayfield... To Bryce... The total compensation in dollars and draft picks we've spent on QBs since Tepper is deeply depressing
