Just reading scouting reports, he needs work on a lot, including tackling, and run game recognition. Unless these reports are wrong, this guy is completely developmental, and will need a lot time. Trading up, using a fourth round pick, for a developmental shot in the dark prospect doesn't feel like it's filling a need.

Definitely, but it won't be cheap. If he plays mediocre they'll have someone as leverage.

Hooker in Detroit will be good for him. He doesn't have to develop right away, but goes to a team with a great offensive system and development.

For a player they think can start or fill a hole.

At this point if they think they can grab a starter somewhere they should definitely trade up. This isn't the year to sit pat and develop back roster players. Our first round pick is gone next year, we need to try and push for as many wins as possible.
