His comment about Steve Smith was pretty interesting; wishing that he had Steve Smith when he was older. He understood Smith was in win now mode, and it probably explains how Smith was with Cam during his early years. I wish we had Smith during the Super Bowl. The team could’ve used him.

What’s poetic is you had a few loud fans that didn’t like Cam, or his personality, only to end up with a boring “supposed” super processor, that is looking like will be a dud. Tepper wanted what they wanted in a QB; a guy that would blend in and cause no controversy at all. I still remember some of those same fans threw a fit when Stroud named his QB influences. I got fooled by Bryce too, after rooting hard for Stroud to start, so I’m not much better I guess lol.

I miss Cam, man. Such a shame his career was cut short. 2015 is the year everyone talks about with him, but that 2017 was remarkable. Took a bunch of shyt on offense, and literally turned that squad into a contender. I still tell everyone, if Clay or Funchess come down with TDs on the plays that should’ve been made, and that team is in the Super Bowl again. Then I’m 2018, it’s tragic how the team turned to complete dog doodoo once he got hit by Watt. He was being talked about in MVP discussions before that hit. I wanted so bad for him to make it back after the shoulder injuries, but it wasn’t meant to be. I was wrong in my defense for him after that. Oh well. Team has been crap since then, not to mention not worth talking about. It’s been 5 years of irrelevance. I’ll watch this later on tonight

One thing about Tomlin; he’s going to get the best out of the guys he has on the roster. He’d have this crap lineup competing for the NFC South crown

I’m good with Baltimore or Houston winning it. I’m a fan of both Jackson and Stroud. Would love to see one of those two win it. Those are the 2 teams I’m rooting for. We’re likely getting SF vs Baltimore or SF vs Buffalo.

We suck next year, but don’t go after a QB in 2025. They’re going to give Bryce 3 years. This next coach we hire will be gone by 2026. After 2 2-15 seasons, he’ll be let go.

Yep. I was one of many who have wanted us to tank and suck previous seasons, but even after not doing that, we still had our opportunity to get a franchise, elite QB. The team just missed on the pick. CJ was right there for the taking, and we didn’t take him.

I’m with you on this. I’d have no problem with the team admitting their mistake, and moving on right now. I just don’t see it with the kid, and I’m confident he won’t live up to that #1 pick. Sadly, I’m pretty confident it’s just not going to work in Carolina. I’d love to be wrong. I’ve pretty much made peace with next year being pretty bad. Hey, atleast in 2025 we start over the rookie QB contract clock. This new regime needs to come in and build a contending team for our new guy in 25.

Gotta go with this years team. Both 2010 and 2023 had teams where you knew the game was over once the other team scored. 2010 had a more talented team, though. That team just had a terrible QB. This years team was terrible all over, outside 3/4 pieces.
