I think the “ouch my finger” route isn’t that simple. Most players have injuries they play through throughout the season. He isn’t going to risk any further injury without some sort of guarantee (longer term contract more money etc…). You mentioned language in the contract??? I dare any NFL team to write up a contract saying the player will play through “mild” injuries. That’s a damn lawsuit waiting to happen with this whole player safety movement going on. Just like CMC never finished a “healthy” season during our previous two 5 win seasons, but magically made it all year on a team in the playoffs in San Francisco. You are going to have a hard time making a player play through any minor injury. Though it wasn’t minor, Jackson pretty much did this the last game of the season and had teammates upset about it. Why would he risk further injuring his body with there is no financial protection? I’ll say it again just like I did to Sizzle over and over again. Strong arming the locker room leader/QB of the team is not very good business.

I get it, but he ultimately got what he wanted. Rodgers also was missing camp and got what he wanted from GB. Players still have more control that people think. SizzleBuzz refused to believe it as we all watched Watson strong arm the whole Texans organization even through all his legal issues and walk away rich.

The Ravens can’t be this dumb? They’re a smart organization right?

He didn't look bad his last couple games. Give him an OL and a decent defense and it will be interesting to see how he develops.... -
It's should be coming next season (assuming we don't push this year's into next). It's why we are in a great spot to draft a rookie QB. Solid young OL, great staff, young defensive talent, and a lot of space next year to build a great roster around the rookie while he is on his rookie contract.

Depending on what we give up 3 for AR or Levis isn't the end of the world if our staff is high on either one.

Not Zane! Damn it not Zane! -
Are you seriously throwing out Willis’s SEC college stats? Talk about misleading… I’m an Auburn fan and Willis barely played. He had what 14 pass attempts in two years there?? AR played more last year that Willis did his whole Auburn career (64 attempts). Willis was a TWO year starter both at Liberty, he transferred from Auburn because he couldn’t land the starting job there. Bias to the extreme against Richardson. I get it you don’t like the player, but let’s not try to mislead people on here with that Willis at Auburn nonsense…

If there is one next year the pick won't be for sale.... The Lawrences, Lucks, and Burrows are never for sale. This is a rare instance where the top pick already has a QB (yes it happened last year too but with a much weaker class), so it's a chance to get our staff's top choice at QB if we trade up.

The did the same for this draft with Van Dyke (disappointed and stayed another year), Young, Stroud, Levis, Richardson (didn't play as well as projected), Rattler (again), some where high on Haener etc....
