  1. I don't think I've ever seen the refs call a play dead when they didn't blow the whistle. Seriously, I still don't understand why the chiefs got to redo that 3rd and 9 play where the refs then call a penalty on the Bengals. The refs missed a clear block in the back on the punt return and I don't think called 1 single hold on the chiefs Oline the entire game. And again, when every single "questionable" call goes in favor of 1 team, are they really questionable or just helping the other team win?
  2. Ummm, you do realize the entire starting oline for the Bengals was out right... It looked like they had 5 byron Bell's out there blocking for burrow
  3. Watching games like this makes me realize there is no point in watching Panthers games. The refs completely influenced this game in the chiefs favor and has to be sickening to watch as a Bengals fan. As Panthers fans, we all know the NFL will never let us win a Superbowl, even if we happen to be way better than anybody else in the NFL
  4. I definitely wouldn't be opposed to Kellen Moore as OC. Look at the weapons the Cowboys have on offense. They got a great WR in Lamb, but the rest of their receivers are bums (so bad in fact that TY Hilton off the couch may have been their 2nd best WR). Zeke is washed up and Dak somehow led the NFL in INTs despite missing 1/3 of the season.
  5. Frankie Luvu is our best defensive player (it would be Horn if he could stay healthy)
  6. I guess he is the scapegoat for the Cowboys losing. Even funnier, the Cowboys might make McDooDoo their OC
  7. That is because we didn't need him to throw in most of the games he started because we were playing terrible run defenses and for the most part got relatively big leads. He was one of the only reasons we had a chance to win the "win-and-in" playoff game against the Bucs despite having zilcho defense and zilcho run game. He had an absolute stinker in the Saints game, but that was a meaningless game and against 1 of the more underrated defenses in the NFL when they are healthy. Prior to that game, I'm not sure we could have asked for much more of Sam. My point is that guy saying Foreman almost willed us to a playoff berth was far from the truth. In fact, Hubbard probably had as many yards as Foreman during our winning stretch when you factor in the differences in carries. I don't see anyone here saying Chuba almost willed us to a playoff berth... The oline played great in most of our wins down the stretch, which let our RBs pick up 1st down after 1st down and avoid passing altogether.
  8. You can't be this stupid can you... This would be like saying Kelce (or Jamar Chase or Mixon or whatever other elite player) sucks because he isn't getting any yards from what is the equivalent of a punter playing QB for them...
  9. SF might want to cut this Greenlaw guy right now. I think that is now five 15 yard penalties he is responsible for
  10. The Foreman that ran for 9 yards against PIt, 23 yards against Cinci, 24 yards against Cinci, and 35 yards against Tampa? It's all fine and dandy that he got big running games against terrible Run Ds like Detroit and Seattle, but let's not pretend Foreman is the reason we almost got a playoff berth... Literally Sam had more of a role in us almost making the playoffs than Foreman
  11. Run a 3-4??? With what LBs and what NT??? Hell, I'm not even sure we have 3-4 DEs that can stop the run. I think we have maybe 2 people that would be better in a 3-4 defense - Burns and Haynes
  12. No Yes Yes (and important to resign with how good the oline looked with him in the lineup) If cheap Sure why not Open competition with Zane Gonzalez Restructure Shaq. Outright cutting Shaq is tough with how terrible our LB core is outside of Luvu. We would probably have to draft a MLB day 2 in the draft to replace him or sign a FA, which I don't want to do if we are paying dead cap with cutting Shaq. In the draft, we need weapons. Another receiver opposite DJ (preferably 1 that is tall) and a TE are badly needed. Slide TMJ into the slot and let him rotate with Shi Smith & Shenault. Shenault we can use in wildcat and motion sweep passes (like we did this year). Cut the rest of the bum WRs we have. On defense (assuming we are 4-3), another edge and interior dlineman are a must (unless we sign a FA). It wouldn't hurt to upgrade corner, but I think that has to be a lower priority for us because every other position on D is so much worse. Slide Chinn into that hybrid LB/SS role and let him blitz or cover opposing RBs/TEs, where he is at his best. For the draft, it ideally looks something like this: QB (trade to 5 or 6 if Young/Stroud there and give up 9, 39, 132) and then DE, WR, TE, DI, LB, RB/CB with the rest of the picks (hopefully DE earlier than the rest). If we can't go QB, if we could trade down and manage to get WR, TE, and DE in the first 39ish picks (something like Quentin Johnson/Smith-Njigba, Kincaid/Musgrove, Ojulari/McDonald IV), that would be great and we can just wait until next year for a QB.
  13. This is what we should do. I think Sam did a solid job the games that he played, outside of 1 stinker I think. Sure, he has inopportune turnovers, but that is what I expect out of a bottom-tier QB. Get the right type of OC that has more creative playcalling & WR route varieties + more weapons besides DJ in the passing game and I think Sam can be suffice next year. He probably won't win us many games, but is capable of doing enough to win games against bad teams or keep us in games when our defense is laying an egg. Then let our rookie QB take a year or 2 to develop - don't rush him along and throw him to the wolves like so many other teams have done in the past.
  14. I can't tell if the people in this thread that are excited about Reich are actually excited about having Reich or are just excited it isn't Wilks. Honestly, this is a pretty meh hire. I think he will be something like a RR results wise - might get us to the playoffs 1 out of 3 years and won't do much of anything in the playoffs (unless he finds an elite QB to carry him).
  15. Sounds like the same typical depressing Panthers offseason of years past. I think it is just a given that we will never have intelligent ownership and we will forever be stuck with below average or worse coaches... Honestly, it's a pretty fitting curse for our dumpster fire of an organization... I'll just have my fingers crossed that at some point Tepper gets embarrassed at how inept of an owner he is or bored with owning this team and decides to sell to an owner that isn't a perennial loser like him.
  16. Ummm.... Did you not see CJ and Taylor getting abused the entire game??? Dak probably would have had six passing TDs against us...
  17. Nobody pressures like Dallas does and I think SF had to rely on quick passing and extra protection more than usual. I agree the Eagles pass D is much better, but the 49ers are a run first team that uses it to open up the playaction pass. I think the game is going to surprisingly be high scoring (50+ total points).
  18. The dallas D was a much worse matchup for the SF offense than Philly's D will be. You can run on the Philly D and was still baffled why the Giants only gave Barkley 4 carries in the first half. That being said, the Philly offense is light years ahead of Dallas.
  19. Im so torn on who I want to win. I want the better drafts picks, but I hate the cowboys and think CMC deserves a Superbowl after being stop on our dumpster fire of a team for how long he was
  20. I definitely didn't see this game being a blowout and pretty much decided after the first quarter... There's been like one and a half good playoff game so far...
  21. The Bills have had probably a top three roster of talent with an elite QB the past 3 years and haven't made it to the super bowl. A window like that is only open for so long
  22. I wonder if there is talks about McDermott getting fired with this team continuing to not make the super bowl.
  23. I think SF might be the team that they matchup with worst. SF has a good oline and can run the ball well, something the Eagles have struggled to stop against good rushing teams. SF is also good at stopping the run.
