So he basically said we will have growing pains early but look better by year end and people think it’s a complete rebuild? What am I missing??

You strike me as someone who isn't here just for attention nor someone who reasons like a child. Those would be a couple of reasons for some of the more stupid reactionary responses here. It's also why I rarely post during the season. Just brain-numbingly stupid and frustrating.

I did some digging and was able to get his number. Called him and asked him to come perform at the tailgate. I offered him transportation to CLT (he was outside of Greenville, NC), a hotel room, and coupke hundred dollars (like 200-300, can’t remember exactly). He wouldnt fly and there was no train to get him here on time, so my buddy coming to the game from Greenville said he would pick him up (bless his heart - not sure he would have survived that ride). There was a train that would take him back. Ked agreed, but the a few hours later was totally convinced that once he got to Charlotte something bad was going to happen to him like he would be abandoned at the hotel, alone, and not know what to do or ever be able to get home. So after several collective hours over the course of 2-3 of trying to assure him he was going to be harmed, I just fug it this too insane. He was dead set that I was going to bring him to Charlotte to hurt him. Lol, what?

Wow. That's sad. I wonder if the guy got death threats or something after his video kinda blew up. Some fans are plain nutjobs. Or maybe Ked is just...off. Who knows?

Cam Erving has this effect on QBs 🤣

From all reports, the guy is a helluva lockeroom guy but God forbid we need him on the field. We could use another backup OT or two. I think Zavala and Mays can play OT if pressed, but I'd rather get a dedicated player for that.

He also was a 2010's All decade selection and only 15 sacks shy of getting 130 for his career (The magic number for HOF level career sacks). He's also one of, if not the, best run stopping defensive ends since he came into the league.

He's closer to the HOF than you think.

Agreed. Is he a first ballot guy? No. Will he eventually go in? More than likely.

Lots of hate for Scott Fowler here.  My take is that he attempts to try to look objective...does not want to be a homer but a reporter. As he was here before the team......like he has to prove himself.

Spot on. I've known the Fowlers for over 20 years. They're good people. Scott does his best to provide an objective view - he doesn't report as a fan. People with irrational hatred toward him are sad, imo. I know him. He's a good dude.

  6. I don't think anyone is claiming Cousins is as good as Burrow. Or maybe they are. I dunno. I don't think he is. But I wonder what the narrative would be if Cousins' defense had been as effective as Burrow's in the playoffs. Maybe Cousins still finds ways to lose, I dunno, but the video is certainly interesting.

In case you missed it, the replay is on YouTube now for those who was searching for yesterday's practice but forewarning, it's mainly a lot talk and not much in the way of practice:

Panthers Training Camp with Bryce Young- Queen City News

This was better than I expected. I was a little taken aback when Kunkel said Chuba was close to 240 lbs. Absolutely love Bozeman and his leadership. Love that they talk about Ickie's leadership too. Thanks for posting!

Just how I read it. Sounded like you were saying we still have a 25' first to work with because we traded away DJ.

No problem. I admit, I probably should've added that I wasn't advocating for a trade...since that is the subject of the thread. Just kinda kneejerked to correct was I knew to be incorrect. I honestly like Hunter, but I agree with everyone who thinks this would not be a good time to trade assets.

I'm really hoping he steps it up this year but I'm not holding my breath.

He had wilks as a DB Coach last year and did not improve, so I don't know if this staff will be able to unlock his potential either.

Then again, the scheme could be a better fit, but we'll see.

I think the addition of DeAngelo Hall could make a difference for some of these guys. Having a guy who not that long ago was doing what they're doing could resonate with some of them. That said, I remember when they were announcing coaching hires, I kept hoping to hear Mike Minter's name. I think he'd be a great DB coach and maybe DC at some point. It's possible someone reached out to him and he's just happy to be at Campbell.
