  1. But Hardy was physically impressive from day one and also contributed in multiple ways even before he broke out as a sack artist. Ealy has not been. Hardy was playing as a gunner and showed an incredible knack for making plays in spot duty from day one. Ealy has been lackluster in every sense. Most of the plays he has made, notably when he "came on" late last season, it never really seemed like he made the play but was rather the benefactor of others. That is a huge difference compared to Hardy. I'm just saying, economic factors don't matter when a player is just that unimpressive. And according to Jeremy, Ealy has been largely underwhelming throughout camp. Then we see what he looked like tonight... How long did you give Everette Brown before realizing it was a lost cause?
  2. I saw him a lot in college too, and I'm not purposely being negative, but that was exactly why I didn't want him. I am not impressed by massive guys playing reciever unless their skills translate to the position naturally. So to me, he was always an impressive specimen for his size and fluidity, but not due to being a natural reciever. That was why I didn't want him over other guys that were available when we took him. Now he's made a couple nice catches after that first drop, and then turned around and dropped a TD pass that he had great position on. It's inconsistency and he just never struck me as a natural reciever...
  3. @Jeremy Igo do you think it's possible Ealy gets cut?
  4. I really didn't want Funchess... But I really hope he proves me wrong.
  5. Hope that isn't a regular occurrence for funchess.
  6. Is it just me, or does playing Remmers as the center with the second unit seem like a horrible idea?
  7. Our defense was painful to watch tonight... I guess we are playing bend and then break in half defense lol. Also, I don't mind if Wes Horton takes Ealy's roster spot outright.
  8. I'm thinking Kony Ealy is working his way towards being Gettleman's first notable bust. Wow, he sucks.
  9. Good to see Cam end PS game 1 in a rhythm and on a high note. His deep ball and that back shoulder fade are on point. Love it! And again, I contend that the OL looked impressive throughout. Also, KB is looking like a beast.
  10. There's a strong correlation throughout our history under River, that when we struggle in the preseason, we struggle early and get off to slow starts. It's not about wins in the PS, it's about looking like you're ready to play competitive football and execute well.
  11. Ohhh, you sly trickster you, Shula. They never saw it coming.
  12. Yeah, tbh, I don't see any reason Cotchery should be out there, but I know the coaches love him, he just sucks. Furthermore, I would've taken several other receivers before Funchess that were still available, but being that he was our guy, I certainly hoped that they would've had him as a starting reciever from day one. Instead, looks like Cam has to lock onto KB far too often again.
  13. Maybe some of you all are watching a different game than I am, but imo, pass protection is light years ahead of where it was last season. He is getting a pocket to throw out of, and even when they get pressure up the middle, he's getting passing lanes to step up into. And, he's not getting much pressure from the outsides.
  14. Look, the pass might not have been perfect, but does Cotchery even look for the fuging ball, EVER??? I am so tired of this dude.
  15. The interior... Ealy, Addison, and Alexander have gotten the majority of the snaps on the outside that I've seen so far.
  16. Dline looks like total poo. Entire offense isn't far behind.
  17. Good to see we're off to our usual "fast start." Smh, this is a huge let down lol.
  18. You know, I didn't like the pick because I was still wanting more competition (and speed) at WR, and I've been pretty indifferent to this point about him... But, the more I hear, see, and read about him, I see some eerie similarities to one Stephen Davis. He's not a burner, but is elusive, strong, patient, and is hard to bring down.
  19. A few questions... I didn't see the presser afterwards, but did Rivera address this? If so, what did he have to say? Will we see more of this in the future? And, if we do, what does that mean for RT? I assumed coming into camp that it was Remmers job, but then we have been working him at C as well. I know that shouldn't mean much, but I think if you have a guy who is your RT, you're not giving him backup C reps in TC.
  20. Not saying he will be anywhere close as a player, but his build reminds me of Smitty.
  21. How would you compare his performance to Boykin's thus far, @Jeremy Igo?
