Stanley Cup Playoffs: Round One, Game 6
Proudiddy replied to Harbingers's topic in Carolina Hurricanes
Wow, I had no idea he did all of that... makes sense then lol. I just felt he looked shaky at times so far. Seemed to mishandled the puck and such, and Saros has made some incredible saves and faced a ton of pressure from our attack... but, as lightsout stated, it's also Ned's first playoffs, so I can see there being some jitters. And I know the defense and positioning plays a huge role in goaltending, but admiittedly, I hadn't seen the actual goals they've scored for whatever reason... not even the replays. I either was driving or switched to the NBA games and missed them, but I've literally watched like every minute of the last 3 games minus their goals. -

TBH, I haven't witnessed a single one, in watching the majority of the games, but somehow always miss seeing the Preds' actual goals lol. But, when I've watched, he still looks so shaky, although I do see our guys out of position and/or mishandling the puck. And I thought I saw him and Mzarek both had a .92 save percentage, so I was curious why we had opted with Nedeljkovic. I heard going into the playoffs that all 3 guys had played well and Rod said it was a good problem to have, but I didn't like that lol. -

Love the shots we're getting this period though, but Saros has been balling all series. He is honestly pissing me off. -

Sorry for the hardcore, more knowledgeable guys, but as you know I am 100% a fan of all of our hometeams by default, but don't keep up with the Canes as intimately during the regular seasons, but iirc, our last playoff run, the other guy was starting at goalie... who tf is this guy and why are we starting him over the other guy, because I'm honestly tired of having to dig ourselves out of a hole every game bc of him. I'm sorry, i know it's the toughest job on the ice and you're on an island, but I am extremely unimpressed. -
100%. I'm ready to turn the page on him. That couldn't have went any worse and every bit of it illustrated all of his weaknesses as a head coach. This team has no accountability, and I doubt they even listen to his "I know this is gonna sting, but rah rah!" poo afterwards. If you listened to his post-game presser after that last Washington game, it confirmed everything I foresaw coming tonight. It literally sounded like Rivera. Just a bunch of cliches about us being young, about us growing, about how we'll learn from it and step up to the challenge in the next game. Welp... just more of the same.
-
I agree, but you can get assistants to develop youth. I'm done with dude. I was just thinking what we needed from the outset of this game was the grittiness of the Martin twins. I assumed they weren't playing because they were both still injured... lo and behold, no, they weren't both injured, JB just didn't play them again because he's a fuging idiot when it comes to rotations and innate feel of the game. Same poo could be said with Carey and Richards... We were better off playing them than Zeller and Biz. Dude started Biz and I dont think he's been back in the game since the 1st quarter. This poo is mind-boggling. Unfugingbelievable.
-
But, that's my point... this has been a culmination of what he's been letting go on for way longer than just tonight. There wasn't anything he could do once the game started. Like I stated in the other thread, we had a week and a half to lock up the 8th spot with one win, and we couldn't do it. It's because the team is undisciplined and lacks accountability. We even had Miles back the last two games of the year and still blew both of them. JB is just a mouthpiece. Indy's coach is rumored to not even be well liked by his own locker room, and yet, our first round picks are getting destroyed by guys like Keelan Martin, Oshea Brissett, TJ McConnell, and the lesser Holiday brothers lol. Those guys are playing basketball... our guys are contemplating what's for dinner and what their next Instagram post will be.
-
It's on players too, but when your coach is letting that poo keep sliding, that's where it begins and ends. It's a slippery slope to navigate for coaches in the NBA, but if he doesn't command the respect of the locker room and is a push over just letting guys get away with this poo over and over again without being accountable, he has to go.
-
Yeah, JB, this timeout should finally be the one that works.
-
Yeah, but its clear our guys don't give a poo. Theirs do. I get the feeling with a lot of our guys, basketball isn't what motivates them. Its why I hope we go ahead and trade guys like PJ this offseason.
-
But, its not hard to shoot 60% when you are shooting wide open shots every possession.
-
Its not just the shooting. Look at the defense. Sabonis has hardly done anything at our weakest spot defensively, and yet they're up 30. Its because guys are just out there not giving a poo. They aren't talking, not communicating, just literally watching poo as it unfolds like the rest of us. It's pathetic. And that does go on coaching.
-
Yup. That's exactly what i was alluding to about PJ in my thread. Dude doesn't care about winning, he just likes all the things that comes with being a pro player. His effort absolutely sucks 9 out of 10 games, which is why he's so inconsistent.
-
This couldn't go any worse. I really wish we would just go to the officials and just say we forfeit. Should have done it at halftime. Guys are literally watching their match-up walk past them and go up for shots and they aren't so much as lifting a finger. Every time the Pacers come down the court, someone is wide open and unguarded. They just don't care. And on offense, we are equally a trainwreck. Just chucking poo up. No plays, no screens, just coming down and jacking up horrible off-balance or contested shots for no fuging reason. Borrego is cheeks.
-
And this is where I throw in the towel on Borrego. I like him, but his negative just outweigh the positives. Defense is about focus and effort and we have neither. Our guys are just going through the motions... and offensively, literally anyone from this board could "coach" what they're out there doing right now... just roll the ball out there and take turns jacking horrible shots up. This has nothing to do with our youth or injuries. They have significant injuries and are still waxing us. And youth will struggle like this when there isn't any structure, which there obviously isn't. This is so frustrating to watch.
-
Yup, absolutely atrocious.
-
I hope so, but this is a bad last image to leave with voters. I knew how this game was gonna go after we flamed out that last week of the season. I honestly wish we would've just dropped completely out of the play-in. This is humiliating... guys are just standing around on defense, throwing poo up on offense. It's just tough to watch.
-
And I've always liked Cody as a person, and I thought he was a solid player for most of his career... he is absolutely poo now. Can't stop anyone without getting beat up in the process, can't get rebounds, can't stretch the floor, little to no post presence, always fumbling the ball now... I just can't take it. We're down 30, put Carey in the fuging game.
-
Honestly, I think this showing is gonna hurt LaMelo in the ROY race too, more than if we had just not even made the play-in. This is bad.
-
They don't have LeVert and are playing Brogdon for the first time since April and he's still playing hurt. There is no excuse for us to look this bad. This is purely lack of effort and focus.
-
I told yall, Borrego is the Ron Rivera of the NBA. We look completely unprepared, unengaged, uninterested. And we look this bad and they don't even have LeVert. It's pathetic.
-
This is about to get really ugly.
-
Certainly looks like they quit a month ago.
-
Do you think he can keep doing it? If it's not a dunk, he has just a good of a chance to miss the shots he's taken even when open. And with both of them, the opposing center just drops into the paint or plays the ball handler on picks bc they dont respect them at all. And he just isn't dependable or consistent on offense when he can't rim run, and defensively he is a liability and gets bullied.
-
Imagine losing a playoff/play-in game because you let Doug Hot Dog Lips McDermott drop 50 on you.
