I dont think he's a world beater, but I like his talent and him as a person. I think he is just fine as a 3rd stringer. He's athletic and has a great arm. And the second start was against the Cards last year where Cam took over the game in a handful of plays, but still... I know the TD/INT ratio is horrible, but some of that was "go throw it up and make something happen because we're down 30 in the 4th." But regardless, my point remains... we've seen him, we know him, and he has played live action NFL games against starters. We are learning literally nothing about him by giving him snaps in preseason over Corral.

But the issue with this approach in logic, Mav, is that this assumes Rhule knows how to appropriately and properly evaluate talent. I'm not willing to give him that much credit. I don't think he has evaluated PJ vs Matt. Nor Baker vs Darnold. I think he likes his guys and they get the nod first and foremost because they are his guys. I think that's what we're seeing now. I like PJ, but I don't think he won these snaps... I think they have been given to him. And again, that's the same with Baker and Sam and Rhule stringing along that facade. He doesn't want to hurt Sam's feelings. And the same goes for the OL. He isn't evaluating that poo. He's playing politics and mindgames. He started Baker with Elflien and Jordan. Then outs Sam in with the desired OL with Ickey and Bozeman. It just makes zero fuging sense.

Cade Mays looking good from what I've seen so far.
-
Please fire Matt Rhule right now.
-
Again, I just done understand this poo at all. And again, I like PJ. But this poo just makes no sense. We know what PJ is and what he's capable of with live reps and in real games. He is a solid backup. He is 2-0 as an NFL starter. But wtf are we learning by playing him over Corral in the 3rd Qtr of a preseason game? They keep talking about development, and this is the kind of poo we do???? And this compounded on top of us still wasting reps on Darnold when he will either be a backup or released... I just don't fuging get it.
-
But you kept that one, PJ?
-
We STILL rolled PJ out there??? Man I fuging hate Matt Rhule. God this dude is fuging stupid. Man, I can't wait for his ass to get fired. You are just such a bumbling fuging imbecile. Make it make fuging sense.
-
I like PJ, but that was one of the dumbest decisions I have ever seen made by a QB.
-
Barno looks good. Really good.
-
Edit: Nevermind.
-
Damn Burris!
-
Nah, Westry is 39. But what I've seen of 52 so far, he'll be gone too.
-
I only recall one play, but it was because Wentz held it too long.
-
Didn't see they were still running their 1s. I thought they had already subbed in some backups on the OL.
-
Line still soft as poo.
-
I dont know about the starters, but the backups still look just as soft as last year. That was a hard drive to watch. And Westry has played himself out of a roster spot.
-
Westry is going to get cut.
-
That was a nice penalty by WAS tackle there. Piledrove Barno into the ground and finished it by slamming his head into the ground holding his face mask, then yanking his head back around by it.
-
Barno and Smith are looking great.
-
Smitty:"Bout to send that man over there in the blue tent."
-
Let's go Smith!!!
-
Westry has not looked good all camp.
-
Agreed. The more plays Sam is out there, the more likely something bad is likely to happen. And Rhule did him a solid by sending him out there with the short field and the best OL possible. Smh...
-
Which again is why Rhule pisses me off. You start Baker but put him out there with the lesser version of the OL. Then out Sam in, and give him the best version of it. It just makes no fuging sense. Rhule is such a fuging idiot.
-
I'm not gonna lie. Yall know I'll poo on Sam at every turn... but that was a damn good throw. Still doesn't change my opinion of him, but that was a good throw.
