  1. A stat line Sam can't even achieve in his wildest dreams.
  2. TBH, I think his frame. Plain and simple. He exerts so much speed, effort, and explosion to get there, he overruns them and doesn't have the weight or sturdiness to stick to the QB once he has his hands on him. It sucks, and I love him and his potential as a player, but I've accepted it's who he is at this point.
  3. While the coaching has been exposed as subpar, I don't care who is coaching him, Darnold is not a starting NFL QB. He and Blaine Gabbert are the same guy.
  4. Again, I agree they had to have been bad all day to give up 500+ yards of offense and the points we gave up, but that OT drive they absolutely were gassed. They had just been on the field for the last drive before the missed FG and then came right back and had to stop them on the first possession of OT. And that was after having had to be on the field almost the entirety of the 2nd half because the offense couldn't sustain a drive until the last one of the game. I do believe as much as there is invested on that side, they have to make a play and get us off the field at some point, but there is no form of complementary football on the other side of the ball whatsoever.
  5. Ahh yes, "cooter." I remember 3rd grade well. Enjoy your Capri Sun.
  6. I can't agree with the receivers route running. Yes the OL is really bad, but they Brady isn't calling anything to challenge the defense. Those route combos and concepts are elementary at best. Even look at what the Vikings started doing with Osborn as the game went on. They weren't getting any production one on one against Taylor, so they started lining them up in trips and doubles and then ran drags across the field where Taylor had to run through traffic and couldn't man his guy up, so he ends up chasing the play. We do nothing like that, and when we do, Sam doesn't believe what he's seeing and either elects to run or holds the ball until he's sacked. The playcalling is abysmal and Brady is feeding into Darnold's weaknesses with it, but as I stated, Darnold is bad even when he has time. That last drive was a bit of luck and an aberration because he isn't willing to take those shots until he is forced to.
  7. And also, thank you for this thread, Zod. If I say it, my reactionary, emotional posting history undermines my credibility, and thats fine... but, it should be fairly obvious that Sam needs to sit. Like I said in the game thread, if we're just gonna chuck it deep and have the QB scrambling every play, we may as well put PJ in because he's better at doing both.
  8. But what people aren't acknowledging is even if you account for the drops, Sam barely completed 50% of his passes and resorted to running for most of the game because he was scared to throw. And for weeks it's been the OL's fault, and yes, they are horrible, but look at what Sam does when he has time. The first drive of the game and he hadn't been pressured at all. He had forever to throw it and STILL threw a pick with good protection. There are no excuses. He is bad and needs to sit.
  9. Thank you for clarifying. My apologies if my post seemed hostile or aggressive. I know I'm viewed as a reactionary, and I acknowledge I do wear my heart on my sleeve, but I also know I'm knowledgeable on the sport and our team. I hate losing. Period. I just assumed because you posted it here, I was the target of your complaints. So again, my apologies.
  10. But are they as hot as those hot pockets?
  11. The defense is stumbling badly, but we literally started the game with a pick putting them either in the RZ or right outside of it. The offense can't sustain drives and haven't been for the last 3 weeks and every second half outside of Houston before that. The defense can't play to our strengths when the opposing offense has control of the game. Period.
  12. And tell me where I've been wrong on these notably "dramatic" predictions and proclamations. The things the "soft, dramatic" fans have been bemoaning about for years are the same issues that keep costing us games, yet we/they don't know what they're talking about? I haven't been, and if I was, I would admit it. The team is trending downward, so is the coaching staff, and Darnold has been bad. That's where we are. I don't see a sudden shift in the right direction. The offense is outright dysfunctional and the defense has been either figured out or broken. But no worries, we should just be grateful that the NFL gave us a cute little team to call our own down here. It's a fun social event where we can barely show up, sit in our seats and get bullied by opposing fans when we do show up, and then just dismissively state "it's a rebuilding year" or "there's always next year" when we lose, so we don't have to acknowledge that expecting to win every year is an acceptable expectation.
  13. Ahh yes, getting poo'd by the "there's always next year" crowd who have been saying the same bullshit for 25+ years now.
  14. Nice. I'm sure you're familiar with that exact interaction when your mother drops by the basement to deliver your hot pocket.
  15. Well, at least I'm present, unlike our PSL owners. Go talk your smack to them, if you can find any in that sea of purple today.
  16. I agree, on their own, the Philly game was worse because of the lead we had and how we collapsed, but to fight all the way back this week after everything that happened and then get chopped down play by play in OT until they finally scored the TD the week after Philly... that is decimating.
  17. And yet, you're here, right where you belong.
  18. I'm not. He's trash. Even if the receivers caught all the balls they dropped, he still barely threw for a 50% completion rate and we started the game with his dumbass interception and it had nothing to do with protection because he had all year to throw it and still threw it the one place he shouldn't. I'm done with dude. We aren't struggling to fight back to get in the game if it wasn't for all of his dumbassery.
  19. That officially sent this season down the drain. The Cowboys loss was not bad. The Philly loss was tough to accept. Losing today was heartbreaking and we will likely lose all but 2 or 3 games the rest of the season. You could see it on the defensive players' faces. They are defeated... 6 weeks into the season and that dysfunctional ass offense finally broke the defense's back. We just got beat by Kirk Cousins and KJ fuging Osborn, whoever the fug he is. That was like watching death by a thousand papercuts and the team is definitely taking a left turn after that.
  20. Of course they would win the toss. I am trying to juju a interception or sack here off of Cousins! Come on defense!!! We can do it. Get a turnover and win this game!
  21. Welp, it was fun while it lasted. But who didn't think that was exactly what the Vikings were gonna do?
  22. Yeah, I love him, but it has gotten old. If he could hold onto them he'd be averaging well over 10 sacks a year.
