These are dynamic things happening in real-time. Iirc, Chuba’s route got cut off by the OL getting pushed in the backfield. But as the at was happening, Bryce is seeing it too and has the ability to adjust. He’s looking at Chuba as he’s throwing to him and still overthrew it. It’s like the old saying about pitchers pushing the ball versus throwing it when placing them.

Again, credit where it’s due, that may have been the best sequence of consecutive throws in a drive I can recall Bryce stringing together in his career.

In trying to be completely objective and put aside my feelings about Bryce, even if Coker keeps going, the DB that picked it off looked to be gunning to beat him to that spot. So that’s either getting Coker destroyed or picked anyway.

Hard to say who was right there… but let me know when Stafford assumes his receiver is going to keep going instead of sitting and throws a pick. It’s the playoffs. We can’t afford that. And good QBs don’t make that mistake.
