Meh at 2-6 who really cares but this forum has died and looks like we are back to the same losing season skeleton crew after the fair weather fans who yelled at everyone for not being real fans checked out. So here is something to ward off the boredom.
But damn if Bengals fans don’t sound just as depressed with a 4-4 team, second in their division.
Most don’t know what to predict. And a lot have thrown in the towel already, maybe because of injuries taking over. It’s almost even more depressing over there. If only they knew we’d kill for a .500 record.
If we win Sunday I expect a full implosion on all five (wtf) of their forums.
“24-13 Panthers. Defense has been good all year, Brian Burns / Derrick Brown will give us problems up front and Horn is a lock down CB. Offense playing better with QB and coaching change. Mobile QB with DJ Moore versus a banged up secondary.“
“There are a lot of bad teams in the NFL this year, and the Bengals are one of them. Last night was as bad as I ever seen them play. Plus, Zac is horrible HC. So, flip a coin on a win every week”
“Jesus dudes.... y'all realize Cleveland trashed us 41-16 last year, right? We can't block them, and their oline bullies our dline.
I think we win Sunday, but it'll be closer than it should with all of the injuries mounting.”
“Without Chase,Reader,Awuzie.Even shooter Mcpherson is having problems.24-20 Panthers.”
“Hurst will get 70+ yards late in the second half after we're down 2+ scores.
MacPherson will miss a meaningless 40+ yard field goal that would've been good from 75 yards if kicked between the goal posts.
Burrow gets sacked 5 times.
Mike Thomas is concussed when a pass goes directly through his hands and hits him in the facemask.
I choose to do something better with my Sunday 3 minutes into the second quarter.”
”I don't think they'll look good- they'll continue to struggle- but they'll pull out a tight win. The Panthers are in a worse spot than the Bengals. 21-19, but it won't be pretty.”
“I wouldn't take the Panthers lightly. If their kicker made the FG or the X-tra point in the last game, they would have been in first place in their division, based on tiebreakers. That being said, I do expect the Bengals to win because it is a home game.
I was leery of playing on the road in Cleveland or a Monday Night on Halloween. But this is an ordinary 1pm home game against a team that must be deflated after losing a game they had in their pocket, save the 15-yard celebration penalty on what would have been the winning TD and then a missed 33-yard FG in overtime.”
”"May" TJ ?? She's the starting CB this weekend. Get her some Gatorade or whatever the hell it takes.
So the 2-6 Panthers are coming to town with "who knows" at QB and having just lost to the Falcons in a most ridiculous way.
Oh by the way, the Panthers have yet to win on the road this year, currently sitting at 0-3 in that category.
Sounds like the Bengals don't have a chance.”
“Thankfully this game should be a very informative one. Carolina shouldn't be viewed as a pushover, and they have scored some points in recent memory. But they're not as talented as this Bengals team, and they don't have the same experience overcoming adversity. So if the Bengals handle them even with their injuries, great. If they don't, then they're probably not that good anyway.”
“I think this will be one of those games that really shows what the Bengals are made of. If we lose this I think we are just a mid pack team that still needs a lot of adjustments.
I'm hoping I'm wrong and we're still an upper echelon team adjusting to injuries and major personnel changes. Either way this should be a game we win.”
