    Unless he sticks his finger in someone's butt in public or starts kicking players, there's probably no reason to get rid of him before the season is over. The staff is pretty bad all around and canning Rhule midseason isn't going to turn around this train wreck.

    I would be pleased if Tepper delegated the hiring of the next coach to a qualified individual. And if that individual selected Byron Leftwich then that's great.

    So the two times I recall Brian Burns making contact with the QB. The play where he grabbed on to Brissett's leg while he threw the ball away and this roughing the passer helmet to helmet contact. Not exactly what we need from someone who's supposed to be such an impact player on our defense.

    It'll be interesting to see how Baker does against this defense.

    Why is there so much hate over 2 guys talking about the Panthers? Don't listen if you don't like it. I'm glad we have people making something about our team.

    As they should be. For a roster like the 49ers that are only a QB away, a better strategy would have been to trade picks for a known quantity like the Rams did. They have a window with these guys. I highly doubt the Seahawks would have traded them Russell Wilson, but would Green Bay have taken 3 1sts for Rodgers?

    In retrospect, the best defensive additions (under Rhule) have been Gilmore and Reddick. One was a partial season rental, and the other was just a one year deal.

    It seems that most of the people Rhule has drafted are not very good.

    Just about every coach I've wanted the Panthers to hire has turned out to be a huge dud. For me, this goes back to Steve Spurrier taking the Washington job, and us getting stuck with John Fox. Turned out a lot better for us. It's like QBs. You just never know until they get out there and show what they can do. It's like a roll of the dice.

    I'm overreacting for sure (I mean what else is there to do after week 1?). But he gives me vibes of a guy that's in over his head. I'll listen to "missed opportunities" or "it is what it is" every week if we're winning.
