  1. Plus Stafford has a special arm and Darnold doesn't (although he has a good one).
  2. Just playing around - I haven't done enough research into the NFL Draft this year to do a full 7 rounder. I'd also draft a K and probably trade some of those additional picks for picks next year tbh.
  3. You couldn't pay me enough to do that job - what a thankless task. "I'm going to guess what famously unpredictable people are going to do in the Draft".
  4. Pitts might be the best player in the Draft. I still think he's a Flex-TE, but in terms of the mismatches he's going to bring he's potentially very special.
  5. On the season? Not really - I'll discuss that after the Draft. On the new GM and how he's going to work with Rhule? Absolutely - this is a downright sensible trade that COULD turn out to be an absolute steal for us. If it doesn't work out it's only a shrug-your-shoulders failure. I was becoming very anxious that we were going to trade 3 first round picks and 2 key defensive starters for Watson. That's not how winning teams are built.
  6. I feel like some people are too invested in the 'Top 4' QBs from this years Draft and can't let them go.
  7. Much like the Darnold trade - talented guys that this coaching staff think they can get more out of than previous coaching staffs. Elflein was actually pretty good at C for the Vikings. He's been poor at OG, albeit he can play in a zone scheme there. Erving has never been an OT for me - his value is because he's a swing OLman.
  8. I've always been a major fan of moving College OTs inside to play OG in the NFL. Erving hasn't nailed down a place at OT in the NFL, so I'd put him inside (I know he can play there though in a pinch). Elflein - I've just seen Paradis play football. Also they restructured his deal to give us more cap space. I suspect he'll be cut at the end of the season.
  9. Stud LT please. (I wouldn't be opposed to double dipping on the Oline). Erving at G, Elflein at C, Moton at RT. Oline is markedly improved from 2020.
  10. Interestingly I'd happily take Herndon and Berrios on this team, but I appreciate that they're not high level starters.
  11. Thank God Watson can't keep his towel on. Three first round picks, Chinn and Brown / Burns for Watson, or a 2022 second round pick for Darnold. I mean, I know which deal cripples the franchise.
  12. The only guy I care about is the HC. Much like Canes fans wringing their hands about Rob Likens getting a HC job. If he does well enough to earn a HC job then that means he's done a good job as your OC. I don't see a problem with that.
  13. You're where I was a couple of years ago when the Chiefs picked Mahomes. I died a little inside when we passed over him.
  14. Apparently discussions started at Justin Fields' Pro Day - so this has been 5 days in the making.
  15. This is the dude I've been watching all offseason - his QB breakdowns are really informative.
  16. It's about coaching, not stats. Rhule and co think that they unlock the talent in Darnold, Elflein and Erving. That's why Tepper paid him $72m.
  17. That analogy only works if that fat chick is an absolute stunner once you get her on a diet.
  18. Who said I'm sold on Wilson? I simply don't discuss Wilson or Lawrence because they won't be there at #8 - and we'd be foolish to trade up for them.
  19. What's that, trading away valuable Draft resources to put a rookie QB behind an awful Oline? Agreed.
  20. Darnold would be better than Bridgewater. I'm not happy with investing the #8 pick + probably something else on the 4th QB in the Draft (I'm just not sold on Fields or Lance). I'd much rather spend it on a player that's going to improve the team - and keep that other pick to spend on another player that improves the team.
  21. Oh well then. Darnold has done that - so I guess he's a better athlete than Lance, right?
