  1. BPA for the Panthers is the best prospect on their boards lined up with their most pressing needs in order of importance as opposed to simply forcing a pick to the point of reaching because they are in love with a particular prospect. The latter is what got Fitterer in trouble on top of constantly thinking he was outsmarting everyone else in the building. Unfortunately Dan Morgan has already pulled one of those moves with Jonathan Brooks. Very hard lesson learned hopefully. If not we are unequivocally doomed.
  2. Actually being worse seems highly unlikely. Only improving marginally however is a very real possibility with this franchise. If you know the Panthers in and out then you know this. How many offseasons have we "won" in the past? Can't blame anyone for wanting to see results first. That's just the reputation that has been created under this ownership.
  3. I appreciate his candor. Lots to prove this season for a number of guys including our QB. You see what you've got this season and go from there. Don't overthink it. We can't draft to save our lives in the second round anyways. BPA at 8 and keep it moving.
  4. Ian Thomas is officially gone and playing for another team!?
  5. Even if he had taken PED's is he or anyone else in such a scenario with potentially tens of millions of dollars at stake actually going to crumble and admit that publicly to a reporter weeks before the draft?
  6. It sounds like we did more than just kick the tires for DK and Tee. We weren't window shopping we were looking to buy. But I really wish we could gain some level of competency in drafting. Maybe it will happen. We'll see.
  7. To be clear the Bengals front office are certifiably insane they were assuredly asking for more than the DK Metcalf compensation.
  8. Anyone with functioning brain cells knew Tee Higgins wasn't going anywhere for less than a haul. If we were actually pursuing him it shows we haven't learned and it also shows the FO knows full well they suck balls at drafting.
  9. Well if they do draft him maybe it will end up being a "blind squirrel finds a nut" moment for our front office. But I won't hold my breath.

  11. Oh yeah we've got our share of homers and shoe shiners here no doubt. The nontoxic ones mean no harm though and in general I respect their resolve. There are others that are insufferable though. Anywho there was a time when I tried to give our FO the benefit of the doubt on draft night but I'm way beyond that. If we make a solid pick and it's not a reach and is in the BPA mold I can begin to get on board and at least find something to be positive about. But so far Morgan's track record is iffy at best. If we start picking projects and reaching this place should be justifiably talking cold hard poo about the FO. We'll see.
  12. My thing with the Panthers is we keep taking half measures in addressing our strikingly obvious suckitude. Fired Ron Rivera and kept Marty Hurney. Fired Matt Rhule and kept Scott Fitterer instead of cleaning house. Fired Fitterer and kept all the Scouts and promoted Dan Morgan. Now we've kicked the can with Evero. Honestly we should have gone with a clean slate at defensive coordinator. I think it was best for both parties. We'll see if the Panthers decision on that continues down the same path. But unfortunately there's one constant that remains from all that I just mentioned. The Tepper's.
  13. We've told ourselves things like this many times over the years. In this instance I can safely say there's a 99% chance that isn't the case. We will assuredly be throwing another dart at wide receiver in the upcoming draft.
  14. Well this is the same scouting staff basically entirely intact from when Scott Fitterer was stinking up the place. So looks like they've found their guy!
  15. He's fine for what we're asking him to be but that's not saying much. Let's see who we add in the draft.
  16. Honestly it doesn't change anything for me anyways. It was rather amusing is all considering everything we've witnessed as Panthers fans. Let's just all agree it would be fantastic to see Horn go on from here to be one of the more reliably healthy players on our roster for the foreseeable future. The odds aren't great but I guess it's all we've got.
  17. 4 extra games and only 8 more starts. Considering that a win is basically victory lapping a blind kid.
  18. You know it's March when huddlers are dreaming about a sweetheart trade package that will never actually materialize. Even if we get an extra second round pick we'll probably draft another bust and for our troubles we'll end up with one of the lesser first round talents. In theory I understand the thought process. In actuality and practice. This is still the Panthers and Scott Fitterer’s former right hand man we're talking about.
  19. Oh I am on the same page with you. Other teams seem to agree. Yes we have many needs. But if we hired Dave Canales to be a "QB whisperer" then surely he can walk and chew gum at the same time. It's always a good idea to have another guy developing even if he's a mid rounder. We all like Andy Dalton on a personal level but no one wants to see him under center again let's be realistic. Anywho I doubt we enact the plan you mentioned this year. It will probably be in the next draft. Hopefully everything goes according to plan in the meantime and we don't have any regrets. We'll see how it shakes out.
  20. I wouldn't be really mad if we took Will Johnson but he's apparently been dealing with nagging injuries and I mean we just extended a corner who has only played 15 games in a single season once. I'm of the opinion we should consider a corner in one of the other rounds.
  21. I'd rather go BPA or offense than force a pick on a position of need on yet another developmental project.
